I just tried a 4gb card on mine and it worked right away. That's one less worry with this tablet.

BTW the card is put on as shown in the picture earlier. The face of the card facing the screen.
On mine I didn't have any resistance sliding the card in except for the spring mechanism to eject it. It slides perfectly

Now if we could fix the touchscreen issue I would be set

I found this little app that is supposed to help with touchscreen issues and after running it it does help my device.
It could be just the gazebo effect but it seems to fix my tablet but only temporarily.
It doesn't require root but I don't know if it keeps running in the background or not.
Can someone somehow look into it and see what it does?

Anyway if anyone else wants to try it and let me know if it makes a difference or not it can be found here

Have you tried "digitizer booster"? It's on play store and I think it could help.

No because it requires root and mine is not rooted.

I just found out that there is a setting in the accessibility settings that allow to change the sensitivity sensibility of the touchscreen.
Its called touch & hold delay.
Mine was set for short and I changed it to medium and it seems to be working better.

            What settings is yours at?

              Another interesting discovery.
I have one of those cheap pens that I used with no problems with my nexus 7 and it doesn't work with the cube.

I don't have a screen protector with the nexus and the cube has the original one (just one layer).
So the screen protector that comes with the cube is probably not helping with the sensitivity.

I might take off the screen protector sometime later to check it.

Thought I had one of those to check mine, but none to be found!

I did make that change to medium and my T9 now seems easier to control. Better typing and scrolling.

                  Thanks.

I'm curious why you put this video in the thread for a Cube tablet?

                      Randy,

maybe you can answer this question as you make roms.
In my quest to try to understand the touchscreen issue with this tablet I cam across an old thread elsewhere for another device that had a similar problem and someone found the solution by deleting a calibration.ini file somewhere on the device and reboot so the device would recalibrate the screen and solve the problem with the touchscreen.

Do you have any idea what would happen with the Cube if such file was deleted?

Early Android tablets had a way of calibrating the touch panel. Usually, however...this process was a huge pain in the butt. I'm not sure that MTK has a way of doing it.

The touch panel drivers are embedded in the kernel. Therefore, whoever configures and compiles the kernel has to control the calibration.

I believe Cube is attempting to fix the problem with some OTA updates. Hopefully when they arrive at a stable finished firmware, they will post the whole thing on their site.

Thank you Randy for the info.

Where did you see that cube is trying to fix this issue?

I'm assuming so...since they have put out several OTA updates lately.

Let's hope then that they don't think that the problem is solved.

I think touch problem is already solved.
Since I'm on V1.06 touch is working without problems.
If you keep second screen protector applied(the real one), remove it.
That's your real problem, or you have a defective unit and that's really bad.
