Hi all, Ive just ordered my new Cube from Tinydeal, £153 which Is the best price ive found outside Aliexpress, which I wont use. I have the 1.8b custom rom downloaded, and have the SP flash tool already as I had a Cube 9x, and I have the TWRP 2840 Rar file for the installation of the 1.8B custom rom by Devilz-Wollit. My question is is it ok to install this custom rom if I have an early version of the standard firmware already installed on the CUBE T9?
Also I do want to do the partition fix, 2gb just isnt enough, But i cant really work out how you do it by reading Devilz Wollits post on his thread in Itialian, google dosnt translate it well, Could someone perhaps give me instructions in english, not been able to find it on here.

Great ty, for some reason it wasnt making sense yesterday but after reading this its completely clear now, excellent work on all the roms and modifications on the T9, i wouldnt have bought if it didnt have these , Cube should pay you !, I am going to just update to the stock 1.07 rom for now, without rooting, because I think Lollipop is just around the corner for the T9. The only concern I have doing this is backing up the IMEI and serial number, I have read Rileys method on his custom rom page but I dont want to install CWM as Im planning on eventually installing TWRP recovery, I have soft bricked a tablet in the past trying to install TWRP over CWM, Is there another way of back up my IMEI ? I hope you will do a custom rom of that too

The Riley Rom for T9 is a fake : Block the device causing the bootloop.

But unfortunately it is still maintained the link. It should be deleted.
Or Riley should provide a rom running!

Great ty, I cant find any link to the stock 1.08 rom, I have already downloaded the 1.7 from the tools and tips page, Do you know of another source for the 1.8 stock from apart from Cubes officical download site please, it takes forever from there lol

Stock 1.08 asa a whole standalone package has never been released.
Go here http://freaktab.com/forum/mtk-based-...tools-mods-etc and download V1.08 OTA and apply as i described around there to reach 1.08 offline if you have no network/data access.
Much easier is to flash 1.07 through SP Flash Tool, connect to your WiFi network and go to Settings/About /Check online for update, etc

Ty Edius, yes this was my plan but I wast sure if you could use the OTA method to 1.08 after flashing to 1.07 with SPFT ). All set now, should be here by the end of the week

Yes there is no official info at all from Cube about the T9 getting Lollipop so you may well be right, The T6 already has Lollipop and this is a Mediatek chipset so this does give me hope we will get Lollipop for the T9.

Well received it today, its a lovely tablet but I have to say I can def see the grainy screen, compared to the Cube 9X, which was one of the first versions to be released, the difference really is noticable, The 9X's screen was just more vibrant and clear, this is def a bad idea from Cube, but its very fast and already has 1.08 on it. I am thinking of trying to take that matt film underneath the screen off, im just so used to a nice clear screen.

But the T6 use a different SoC MT8735 that is quite different from MT8752 on your T9...
We can only hope that mediatek releases SDK for all their SoCs for Lollipop...
Other than that kitkat works very well though
