thanks gain for quick response. It looks like the PCB is also upside down here... and no space for additional cooling radiators ? Unless putting them via non conductive thermal pad on the other side of the PCB....
Same like in Voyo Mini PC

You are right. This heatsink is stupid.

        Sorry ZloiKefir, several more questions:
        - does the device has built in IR receiver ? Pandawill description has it mentioned...
        - does device came with Windows & Android installed, or just Windows ? Again taking pandawill description it has two OS by default.

My box have IR reciever. But Windows does not see it.
I bought cx-w8 only with Windows.
May be now these boxes are with dual OS, but i don't need Android.

This is excellent - is the IR receiver identified in Device Manager? Can you also check device ID in the properties of the device ?

apologize for asking lots of questions, but want to know as much info in advance as possible.

I received my Wintel MiniPc (same hardware Intel Atom Z3735F) last week.
It also came with Win 8.1 with Bing (activation failed the key was blocked).

Anyways I reinstalled Windows 8.1 with a new license and got it to work (although finding the correct drivers was a nightmare)...

I'm still having problems getting the Wifi and Bluetooth to work.
I'm going to test the HP drivers posted in this thread when I get home to see if they will work.

I've noticed that there seems to be a IR receiver in the front of the device.
Does anyone know if it's possible to get this IR receiver to work in Windows?

Should be possible - but need to identify which receiver is in the device. Pls can you also check from ur side for unknown device or similar in the Device manager ? Need to search google for equipment/device ID, then figure out what drivers will be needed. Do you also have Broadcom Dual Band Wifi ?

According to the sellers specs it should have Broadcom wifi and Bluetooth. But none of the Broadcom drivers that I have tried worked. So I'm hoping the HP Realtek drivers to work. Once I have Wifi and Bluetooth working i should be able to find the device id for the IR receiver.

The IR sensor is not detected by windows, I've look in device manager and not see any info about it.

Yes finally, I got wifi and Bluetooth working by installing the HP Realtek drivers.
The seller had specs that it used Broadcom but that was inaccurate...

Once drivers for wifi and bluetooth was installed all my unknown devices was gone.
I'm not seeing any device that resembles the IR receiver. Perhaps it has to be activated in the bios?

Does anyone knows what the ribbon cable on the bottom of the CX motherboard is for? The Mini z64 also have the same connector as the CX. By the looks of it six wires cable is needed.

                          Bluescreen

Has anyone had any problems with bluescreen and the error: UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP ?
                          I get this quite frequently.
Is it possible to even update the BIOS if that could help?

PS: I found something like this: http://pan.baidu.com/s/1qW4tGOO#rend...W8%2520windows
Drivers, instructions etc. and "AUTOpower on BIOS" what could it be?

                              Audio

I installed a new versions of windows and everything seems to be working minus audio. I get no audio output device is installed when hovering over the volume option. I do have a few unknown devices inside the device manager. also there is no audio and gaming option in the device manager? Anyone have a fix for this?
