Also, I don't own the device, but I read at the pipo x7 that they get a problem (brick) if they flash the dualboot to a single boot windows version, which seems to be because of a different bios version...
So you should handle it with care!

Well I am probably gonna buy a 2nd box anyway... so I can rip the BIOS and the whole eMMC from that and see what happens maybe... unless someone else gets there first?

Replaced my 1st post with links to helpful info...

FYI, pretty sure the new box is different hardware (IR works, PCB different chips) so cloning eMMC and BIOS may brick box. Not gonna try it now!

Other changes too and BIOS is now both UEFI 32/64bit... I think they are different factories... Not the same thing

Hi guys i need an help
I tried to make a dual boot with windows + ubuntu without success, then i completely formatted the hard disk to intall Ubuntu but i can not boot.
Now i want to reinstall windows 8.1 pro 32 with this procedure:
i'm using rufus 2.1.649 and i have a pendrive 8GB
the settings are: MBR for Uefi PC ( i've tryed also GPT for Uefi )
File system Fat32
Default Cluster (4096)
and i select win 8.1 32 iso image
The procedure go on without any problem.
I,ve also copied the file bootia32.efi in the pen under efi\boot (that i've downloaded from here when i've tried o install ubuntu )

Then i insert the pen and i enter in the bios pressing esc. I select "boot from file" and e select bootia32.efi but appera a black screen withthis message:
"gnu grub version 2.02 beta"
"grub>"

Am i using a wrong bootia32.efi? where can i download the right one ?
Am i making a few mistake ? which one ?

I don't know this boot from file at the BIOS, but at the MINX Z64 they found a way to use another w8wb and they have to use this way

NTFS because one of the files is bigger than 4GB and because of NTFS also the UEFI:NTFS...
Also [MBR partition scheme for BIOS or UEFI computers] instead of [GPT ....] is possible...
Maybe it helps you a little bit to setup the USB pen for/at w8pro....
(e.g. maybe you will find there a working efi at that image????)

Hello, I have Wintel Box CX-W8. I try install Windows 8.1 64bit and I flash bios to M64.W8ANNA01.ROM from http://www.cnx-software.com/2015/04/...icking-method/ and it was not good... after that the display not show well and when I connect LCD monitor I not see anything (blank screen) and when I connect LCD TV the picture is slightly dilated. Original BIOS version was IZ37.DW8RNNN04. Is there anyone who could give me this bios version? Thank you!

It seems to the same Tronsmart IZ37 and CX-W8. Please visit Tronsmart Official Forum and call for 32bit firmware.
