    Yes, you can run from SD and have Openelec on Nand. I did some more testing and found that the bootloader that you flash in Step # 11 will work to boot Openelec 5.95.5.2 from NAND also

    So you have a full OpenGL Linux Ubuntu and Openelec running side by side...It's so cool!!!

    Thanks all who put these together.

      What i did was to edit the file DialogButtonMenu.xml. I think for amber, it is located in /storage/.kodi/addons/skin.amber/1080i/. In this file you see all the possible buttons in the power menu (most of them are not used). Now i replaced an unused entry with the following (i took the button id from the old unused entry):
      Code:
       <!--Reboot to Android-->
      <control type="button" id="510">
      <width>352</width>
      <label>Reboot to Android</label>
      <onclick>Dialog.Close(shutdownmenu)</onclick>
      <onclick>System.ExecWait("/usr/bin/rebootfromnand.sh")</onclick>
      <include>dialog_MenuButton</include>
      </control>
      It may not be exactly the same in amber, but it should at least be similar. Just hava a look at the file to learn hot the code should look like and adapt my example. Good luck.

      Done... Thank You !!!

          Hello all,

          Airplay doesn't not work anymore on my MXQ S85 since 5.95.5 release :-(

          As per my memory, it was working on 5.95.3. Does anyone face the same issue? Any idea?

          Thanks

            Yeah same issue here. iTunes will connect to it but the MXQ does not play anything

                Hi Guys,
                New to all this so sorry if this question has already been asked. I am trying to install the latest build 5.95.5 on the OTT MXQ all black HD18Q model. I have downloaded and extracted the files and copied them to SD card (3 files factory-update... OpenELEC and recovery) I boot the box using the toothpick method but all that happens is the Android man appears on screen with a moving progress bar and then the box reboots back into Android which has been reset. Are there any other files needed on the SD card? Is there something else I need to do? I have also tried the other build for MXQ but that also did not work. Thanks for the help.

                  Extract this file http://s805.eu/releases/5.95.5.2/Boo...bootloader.zip and place it with the other 3 on the SD-Card...Let me know if you have any further trouble. It sounds like you forgot the bootloader.

                    That is great, it worked. Thanks for the help much appreciated.

                    Update: Having tested this build for a while everything seemed fine but it is now starting to hang and I have to pull the plug to reboot, it then works away for another while and hangs again. Anybody else having this issue with build 5.95.5.2?

                      I unable to flash from recovery ?
                      have this kind of message

                      E:Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0(or /dev/block/mmcblk0p1)(Invalid Argument)
                      E:Can't mount /sdcard
                      (See pictures)

                      any fix ?

                      a do the right procedure

                      Format with MiniPartion tool and set the correct ID

                      try two kind of SD card --> same Issue

                          Hi again. I have been trying to install for a friend and his box is also an ott mxq however the drivers for wifi I think must differ as I have installed the image and no wifi hd18q arm. If I install the mxq image wifi appears but doesn't work it drops connection. Please see pic attached for the boot logo which differs to my box.

I know its not my network as I have tried 2 different routers.

                            here is a log.

                              There is a non-Bluetooth version of the Nexteon-made MXQ which seems to use the AP6181? Wifi i guess.
                              Does your rom support this wifi chip? Are the AP6210 and the AP6181 both the same Broadcom BCM43362?
                              I'm still not sure if the non-BT netxeon MXQ really uses the AP6181.
