When I go to install from repository/all repository/ there's nothing in the list, its completely empty. If I go back to the install from repository menu I see "OpenELEC Mediacenter OS Addons" and "Kodi Addon Repository" I cannot access these either, when I click on them nothing happens even though they are enabled.

I had no issues installing or using the pvr simple client with version 5.0.8.20 running Helix, both 5.59.5.2 and 6.0.0.1 have no pvr options what so ever.

I have tried to install the pvr simple client manually by downloading the zip from the GitHub but get an error with that also saying it doesn't have the correct structure.

I thought I would try reverting back to 5.0.8.20 and then try a manual update to 5.59.5.2 instead of a full install but I get the same result, no pvr clients and no option to install or enable them

This was all carried out on a MK808B+

MXQ uses hotplug CPU governor to turn off CPU cores when they are not needed and turn them back on when there's demand. This is for stability reasons as some users reported system hangups with ondemand governor.

On the other hand, HD18Q build uses ondemand where all 4 cores are on all the time.

I will consider switching back tot ondemand for all builds after some testing.

I do indeed seem to have issues with Wi-Fi reconnecting on start up, I set wait for network connection before starting Kodi to 30secs but it still failed to reconnect. That's using built in Wi-Fi and a separate Belkin Wi-Fi dongle.

              Kszaq, thanks for coming back!

Get a Question for this rom...
Since it is OpenElec, based on Linux if I am informed right, am I able to start chrome on my stick and watch netflix in HD?
Or does this rom still use a android as base?

Both are Linux based. I don't believe there's an ARM based Chromium browser for OpenELEC.

                  Thanks Kszaq
After running the HD18Q i have had a couple of hangs.
The biggest difference between the On Demand Governor settings on the HD18Q is the GIU is not smooth.
It is almost too fast on commands and jumps forward as if a second click was pressed.
Definitely nowhere near as smooth and precise as the on demand settings on the MXQ.
                  Hope this helps.

                    Sure... I wasn't clear enough.
I know both are using Linux... My fault.

Thing is, I have read about a chrome launcher addon.
The addon won't work with Android.
But I thought it could be used with Openelec, that may be have a way to open chrome the way the launcher need it.
Never collected any experience with openelec yet.
If it is incompatible to chrome for arm it sure is the answer I need but don't want 😉

Maybe I should ask in the addon thread over at kodi forums, since it is a addon specific question.

I have MXQ version MXQ_S805_V03. I want to run on it Openelec from SD card. Standard installation replaces the bootloader on the device. Already there is a warning that it will lead to brick. I slould use a bootloader for my device. Can I just replace the bootloader in the install archive. Or need a modernized bootloader that allows booting from the card? What a way to edit the bootloader? Is there a manual?

mylle I will build Jarvis as soon as I merge the latest Codesnake's kernel, updated GPU drivers and a few other tweaks. I have a build ready for my testing and will post it if it works well.

Actually I don't have a baby (yet), I was busy with getting married, honeymoon, moving home, taking care of my family and responsibilites in my full-time job.

Stimmenhotel there is no Chromium build for any ARM device on OpenELEC.

Pravsovet Bootloaders from manufacturer most probably don't support booting from SD card. To customise a bootloader you would need to get source code from manufacturer, add this: https://github.com/kszaq/u-boot/comm...59c86b3a217216 and compile.

Welcome back Kszaq, you've been missed!

I would like to donate again, but maybe it would be better to donate in the form of hardware. I can send you a few Beelink MXQ units so you can have some spares. PM me if you'd be interested. Thanks for the latest release mate.

In the meantime I will be able to test only for MK808B+ as my second MXQ has broken down and I am waiting for a replacement. No luck with these boxes.
welcome back and thanks so much for your release.

kszaq awesome thanks for the unofficial OpenELEC
I run your latest openelec on my mxq s805 (all black)
All working great but I have one thing I dont know how to fix
When I turn off my LG TV and turn it back on I get "No Signal"
I have to unplug to turn off the mxq s805 and back on to get the HDMI signal back
Something to do with CEC ?
I dont use CEC I like to have signal on all the time
                              How to fix this ?
                              Thanks

Doesn't you box turn off over CEC? Can you power it back on over CEC or by remote?
