You need to be careful my friend as that box may not be Beelink and also go to Geekbuying its cheaper delivered direct from China, you just wait a little while. I noticed tinydeal that are also trading from UK which is not good as you pay more.

Please let me know if you can make this ROM compatible with my box in the future, complete ROM was dumped on page 1! Apparently it has different BT and Wifi, plus I only insert SD card halfway and it can't go further so I'm thinking new model.
I may make a test build for you but no promises that it will even boot. Please post a link to an SD-Card Android ROM for your device. Or do you mean an HD18Q? I may already have a build config for it but the user I sent it to did not respond whether it worked.

Please put that file in Configfiles folder over Samba (enter \\OpenELEC\Configfiles in Windows Explorer window). After rebooting, your remote should work. If not, you may try putting another configuration file for similar remote: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ks...tc/remote.conf

I managed to get CEC working with my 5 year old Samsung PS58B850 plasma after getting a mini-HDMI adapter and trying several HDMI cables.

It definitely has a lot to do with what cable is used, many (cheaper types) don't work at all.

The only problem I have now is that while I can switch the MK808B+ off (or more correctly, to standby) with the TV remote power button, nothing on the remote will switch the MK808B+ back on when the TV is turned on.

To get it to turn back on, I have to unplug and reconnect power and get the TV to detect it again before it works.

Is this how it works for everyone else?
To power on a box on my old Samsung LCD TV (B-series), all I need to do is hit "Menu" button, choose "Anynet+ Devices" and then "MBox". The box wakes up over CEC then. I like it that way because my MK808B+ wakes up only when I want it to, not every time I turn on my TV.

The original rom installed back ok its only a spare box for the kitchen.
I dont think that site is much cheaper tbh as there is the likelyhood of UK import tax and customs to pay.

OK, can't speak for everybody but I've never been charged UK import tax unless you select a different option to free 15-30 days, UPS like to rip you off and make you pay. Geekbuying £36.00 + 1.30 insurance and a couple of quid to PayPal to convert so yes you won't save a great deal but something, I'm a bargain hunter its in my genes.lol

            Thanks for your response kszaq.

That method would be preferable to me too.
Unfortunately mine just shows "No Devices" (even after refreshing) when the MK808B+ is in standby. I have to unplug and re-connect it before "MBox" appears again.

It's not too much of a problem.
I'll try some more HDMI cables and also see if there is any firmware upgrade around for the TV that might help.
I think it is possibly a problem with the TV maybe not providing a (or the correct) "wake up" signal over HDMI (Anynet+) when it is turned on via the remote.

I don't know if I'm talking thrash but might be possible a modified libmedia.so to have passthrough via hdmi? I've read that works in other devices and I don't know if would be possible. It's a shame have a home cinema and can't use a real 5.1 and dts sound. Thanks in advance

                    Hello,
I am not able to have CEC working with my Panasonic 50VT60 Plasma.
I have only the standard hdmi cable.

                    Any suggestions ?
                    Thanks

I am experiencing this "minor" bug on every video I try using both versions 5.0.3-20150214 and 5.0.5-20150306 using 1080P output. If I use 720P output, the entire screen is filled with the garbled video stream. I have tried reboots and hard power cycles and it persists on every video. I am using this unit: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00Q9NOQPM/. Kodi works just fine for me when run under Android.
Has anyone found the cause of this problem? Am I the only one experiencing this?
                      Thanks!

The link you gave me is from a seller on Amazon now I could be wrong here BUT your 808B+ may not be produced by Beelink and as such this could be why your facing these issues more than anyone else. I just reboot and its sorted for a while .

                          Which device?
The one that comes with the mk808b+ does not work with CEC. I have an adapter and 2 mini hdmi cables coming to see which will work with CEC and my Samsung TV.

Thanks for the info. Here's the dmesg:

Also in case it helps, when i startup my Raspberry i get a notification about an "Pulse-Eight-CEC-Adapter" which is just missing at the MXQ.

That's the same message I get with my Pi and Pi2 on my Samsung TV using the mk808b+. Waiting for new cables/adapters to try and see if I can get CEC working.
