First of all, thanks for the Openelec port to MK808B Plus!
I have tried, IT9135 DVB-T is successfully initialized, so, drivers seems OK.

Unfortunately in my OpenElec the tvheadend addon is missing.. In the latest version, too. Any idea?
I have tried to install several versions from zip, but the web interface isn't working..

Please read the OP, there is an information on how to update.

TVHeadend has been moved to unofficial addons and you can download it from there.

Try typing reboot recovery in SSH shell. Toothpick method should work nonetheless. If nothing of this works, you can flash an image using USB Burning Tool.

Yes, there is dd. But I soft-bricked my MK808B+ using it so I don't recommend it unless nothing else works.

Regarding toothpick method: do you a have a SD card with update (including factory_update_param.aml) inserted when you try it?

Regarding USB Burning Tool: I successfully used it after connecting my device to the PC via an OTG port ONLY - no power adapter! Also make sure you have installed the drivers.

Don't cry and keep trying, there's always a way!

FYI.. I have installed tvheadend server to MK808B Plus and plugged an IT9135 DVB-T stick in. Everything is working, I can view the TV channels on my PC/Windows, but sadly, the MK808B wifi isn't enough for smooth streaming. (router and the stick is in different room, about 6 meters)

I have to buy an USB Ethernet adapter and test again. But, the software/Openelec part is 100%.

                      Thanks again!

You can find recovery.img in the archive with your ROM which can be downloaded here: http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.php?18584
Are you sure that unpacking it onto sdcard and using toothpick doesn't work?

If not, you may try flashing recovery from the command line by typing dd if=recovery.img of=/dev/recovery bs=512 but this does not work on my MK808B Plus!

Everyone to their own I guess but for me once I flashed the 808B+ with OpenELEC there was no going back to Android. OpenELEC compared to Android Kodi is to me a different world.

                            Tuner, wifi, mouse, keyboard, HDD..?

                            Thanks!

                              Hi Kszaq,

I didn't see any question about this, but do you think that is possible to use MK808BPLUS with a USB DVB Tuner, like HTC Terratec HD (features a empia 288xx chipset), with TVHEADEND, with your Openelec port?

                                Hi,

USB IT9135 DVB-T is working with tvheadend, so, if openelec basically support empia 288xx chipset, that will working too.
