In other words, it looks like it can be hardware selectable.
Hopefully there might be something similar on the MK808B+.Last edited by Dez; 31 March 2015, 11:57.

As attachment, dmesg messages.
It seems that the problem is relative to the dvb-fronted, the error message is found in "/drivers/media/dvb/dvb-core/dvb_frontend.c" source.
I have searched on google, found patch, but it is too old to be applyed on actual code.

EDIT: I will include media_build drivers in the next release. That's all I can do.Last edited by kszaq; 01 April 2015, 14:47.

A new release: 5.0.7-20150401- OpenELEC 5.0.7
- added support for PCTV 78e, PCTV 79e and Alcor-0 DVB-T tuners (user request)
- audio interface is now recognized as S/PDIF - this disables unsupported HD Audio formats in Kodi settings
- added possibility to use external audio passthrough interfaces
- re-enabled USB Audio support
- add experimental support for additional tuners by including media_build drivers
I know that OpenELEC 5.0.8 has just been released. Don't worry - it is only a small bugfix for imx6. We'd better wait for OpenELEC with Kodi 14.2 final.

Video Image Problem
update: it's working now, see two posts down
as mentioned before there is a problem with image-garbage on playing video.
I had this before a few times on 3 different mk808b+ but today I installed openELEC on my MXQ and I have it all the time!
I thought I had a solution for my mk808b+ by turning the TV on before the stick but I guess that was just luck.
It looks like a framebuffer is not properly initialized, when switching to software decoder it works (but can't keep up)
kszaq: you mentioned this is a known problem, is a solution coming or should I just try another box?
I made a video to show the strange switching on boot:

I've install it and its working.
But i found a problem.
The box don't use all 4 cores only 2.
I it possible to change that?
It is possible to change the cpu governator to another one in the kernel to make use of all 4 cores??

Image Problem update (two posts back)
I installed 109K4 firmware and 5.0.5-20150309 and now it's working!
Don't know which firmware I had before or if it's the older openELEC version but I haven't had the problem since.
update:
It happened again, once more it occurred when starting the box with turned off TV.
I restarted with running TV and it was gone.Last edited by GreenAir; 02 April 2015, 10:48.

hello everyone !
I`ve been for a while trying to find a stable release for my MXQ box (it doesn`t have any visible brand, but it shows as being an m201 box), and luckily, i`ve found this post containing those releases.
my only issue now (and by that i say ONLY, because the release is working perfectly without any glitches or downsides) is that im not being able to activate wireless, probably due to drivers or the build itself.
is anyone able to help me compile a release containing the wireless drivers for my box ?
as ive already said, the latest build (https://github.com/kszaq/OpenELEC.tv...7-20150401.zip) works like a charm, but doesnt show any wireless devices for activation.
the link to my mxq is : http://www.aliexpress.com/snapshot/6...65102730461216
one last information is, if i try to install any other mxq release, everything works for a couple of minutes before the box freezes itself.
thanks a lot !

Hi I asked a similar question in this thread a long way back but never got a reply. Has anyone got 24p to playback smoothly? I live in a pal country and setting the mxq to 24hz makes it play even worse even though my TV supports it. The best I can do it set it to 50hz and get judder every second which is annoying and sync playback to display doesn't speed it up by 4.271% like it's supposed to. I don't mind the higher pitched sound because I'm used to it but I do mind the horrible judder especially on camera panning it's just so annoying and the 60hz 3:2 pulldown is horrible too. Surely there must be something that can be done even using advancedsettings.xml. The windows version of kodi works with sync playback to display to speed up the playback but the amlogic mxq won't do that for some reason and I just get judder."HANDS ARE NATURES FORKS" -Rigby
