Friends, as my MXQ broke down I need to ask you to test a new release. Changelog:
    • fixed colour key mappings over CEC
    • kernel updated to latest @codesnake's release
    • GPU driver updated to r5p1 - GUI and SD videos tearing is gone!
    • default CPU governor changed to interactive to boost performance (patched to Google's 3.10 interactive thanks to @arco)
    • added basic LG Simplink support from @hardkernel
    Source code: https://github.com/kszaq/OpenELEC.tv...lec-6.0-rebase

Most of all, I need you to check:
    • does Ethernet work?
    • is MAC address correct and does it change after resetting the device?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Test release can be downloaded from: http://s805.eu/test/6.0.0.2-4/
If it doesn't work, you can safely downgrade to 6.0.0.1.

      Hi Kasz
Just tried the HD18Q via update method and confirm no ethernet. Wireless works.
MAC: Address does not change after a reboot or power off.
      All 4 cores working.
      Cheers.

Just discovered USB ports are not working. Cannot mount usb drives. My wireless keyboard via usb also not working.
Sorry to bear the bad news.

Update: Did a reset (pulled out power and plugged back on) and now mounting USB devices including remote.

Mac address not changing all good. ip address not changing all good except no Ethernet.

Thank you for your review. I will rebuild for HD18Q using an unmodified device tree. Hopefully this helps.

          Hi kszaq,
My TV "LG37LD450" does not seem to support CEC so I don't use this at all
The box doesn't shut down when turning off/on the TV
I can not power on by remote because box is still on, only signal lost after turnig off/on the TV

Hi Kszaq. Tried 6.0.0.2 on beelink red tick MXQ.

No ethernet, option for it does not even appear in the openelec network settings. Wifi works.

Mac address constant even after reboot.

Sd video I watched with some tearing yesterday on 0.0.1 plays beautifully on 0.0.2. i don't use CEC so can't comment.

I'm so grateful to you for this. This cheap little MXQ box is by far the best Kodi I've experienced thanks to you.

                  Hello kszaq
I am using your OpenElec 5.95.5.2 HD18Q in my MXV S805 box, and it works great for me, except that WiFi doesn't work, because it uses the RTL8723BS module.
I was wondering if any of these 6.0.0.2 builds have support for this module, so I can test if WIFi will finally work in my box. In previous builds, it didn't work, but as the kernel is being updated, maybe it has changed...
                  Thanks for the great job!
                  .

Can you tell me what kernel version this is running on?

Thanks for all your hard work!

                      Hi kszaq,

I've just installed OpenELEC-Amlogic.MXQ.arm-6.0.0.1-bootloader.zip from recovery. Everything went fine, but my MXQ doesn't boot ...

After I recover my bootloader somehow, I may not update again but I would like to boot from mmc.
Could someone dump the uboot variables to start my box without flash any wrong bootloader again, please?!

                      regards, gcsuri

Ok, I have read back and I found the bootenv changes
I think it can easily set by setprop ubootenv.var.reboot_mode 'switch_system' - for example.

I have MXQ_S805_V03 board. Do I need to use USB burning tool to unbrick?
Where can I found a proper bootloader?

The module is compiled in but with some devices it doesn't work without modifying a device tree, i.e. recompiling the kernel. Have you tried both MXQ and HD18Q builds?

To be honest I never experienced that nor played with reading from UART... I'm afraid I can't help you with this, sorry. Please take a look at this thread: http://freaktab.com/forum/tv-player-...constantly-on/

I uploaded an updated test version. Please be careful when flashing... EDIT: A new build will be available soon.

Hello again kszaq. I'm afraid that the latest tar update to test 6.0.0.2-2 did not go well. All as I'd expect after dropping the file into the update folder and rebooting. The update loaded and the box rebooted. I see the Openelec logo and then there's a load of text on screen which I don't understand. Does aml-sdio-timeout mean anything to you?. I'm running from sd card so I expect to be able ton recover by installing to SD card from scratch with 6.0.0.1 unless you have any other suggestions. I'm not doing it tonight but I'll check back here tomorrow to see if there's anything else I can do to help.

                            Hope this helps.

Sorry for that a lot. That happens when I build without having a device to test. I guess I'll give it one more try tomorrow evening and I have to speed up getting a replacement device.

If you want to downgrade, you can simply put the card in your PC, unpack SYSTEM and KERNEL from .tar update image and rename KERNEL to "kernel.img". This is the fastest way to downgrade without losing data.

I put the 6.0.0.1 openelec on my mxq using HD18Q and it is red LED bricked now. I have used it a handful of times for my friends and myself with no issues but the new box my friend brought me is an OTT box MXQ with red stripe LEELBOX. I tried to recover using USB Burning Tool but cannot get a connection at all. It is just plain dead and won't respond. Any ideas for recovery and anybody know which ROM i should have used? Also strange enough, it would not boot into recovery from new so i had to go through the update app, something i hadn't done before but the .img fully installed and rebooted to nothing. No lights or anything. The board inside is labeled MXQ-805 VER. 1.0 DATE 151122. I looked through board pictures on google and have not found one that looks the same?
