May it be some configuration problem?

Edit: I rebooted, but didn't work...
Is your HD18Q visible in CEC devices list in your TV or it can't be detected at all? Do you have any other devices running OpenELEC (e.g. RPi) and can test whether CEC works on them? Also, try to execture the following commands over SSH:
    Code:
    systemctl stop kodi
    rm -rf /storage/.kodi/userdata/peripheral_data
    reboot

I just updated to 6.0.3.6. CEC works on my old Samsung TV (the button layout is different though). What does not work is changing CEC settings in kodi. The menu item "Peripherals" is there, but it can't be selected (nothing happens if i click it). To be more precise: in Confluence skin, an empty Window opens, debug log says:
    Code:
18:23:51 T:3041886208 DEBUG: OnKey: 11 (0x0b) pressed, action is Select
    18:23:51 T:3041886208 DEBUG: ------ Window Init (DialogPeripheralManager.xml) ------
18:23:51 T:3041886208 ERROR: Control 20 in window 9999 has been asked to focus, but it can't
In my other skin (cirrus extended), nothing happens and the debug log says:
    Code:
18:23:02 T:3041886208 DEBUG: OnKey: 11 (0x0b) pressed, action is Select
    18:23:02 T:3041886208 DEBUG: ------ Window Init (DialogPeripheralManager.xml) ------
18:23:02 T:3041886208 INFO: Loading skin file: DialogPeripheralManager.xml, load type: KEEP_IN_MEMORY
18:23:02 T:3041886208 ERROR: Control 20 in window 9999 has been asked to focus, but it can't
    Any ideas?
I just tried a clean install of 6.0.3.6 and have no problems accessing this menu. Can you try executing commands I listed above? This will reset libcec settings and reboot. Maybe you have some remainings of old settings.

Thanks for your time. Unfortunately it didn't work. Another issue i noticed is that localization settins are randomly set to german/belgium (this happened two times during my testing). I will revert back to 6.0.3.5 for now and when i find the motivation i will make a clean install of 6.0.3.6. later this week .

I don't have any other device to test CEC, but CEC works with this same box with 6.95.1.1 (recognized as a DISC unit), and don't work with 6.95.1.3. In TV I have to enable the SIMPLINK option.
When I execute these commands over SSH, the CEC is briefly recognized by the TV, but then the KODI interface returns the language alone to English (I use Portuguese), and TV does not recognize the unit anymore.

          Hi Kszaq and every 1
Need some help with some sound problems
I'm connected with HDMI to my tv. From the tv (headphone output) a 3.55 cable to the Samsung sound system to the aux input.
I'm trying to use the analog or the spdi f outputs of the MXQ with no success.
Connected 3.55 cable from analog out of mxq to aux input of the sound system, only 1 speaker works.
Connected a diffrent cable( 3.55 to spdi f a new optical cable) spdi f of the now(with the 3.55 output) to the optical input spdi f of the sound system and no sound.
Tryed the 808b and the hd18q roms and no sound.
I have attached a pic of my bord am_mxq_a 20150825.
Can any 1 tell me where is the audio chip on this bord ??
          I'm lost.

You'll need to use an AV cable for the audio, I did try a regular mini jack with two phonos and I had the same problem. And if the audio decoder is set to analogue I don't think the optical out will work but the HDMI still carries sound as you probably know.

EDIT: And as you know I have the same board!

EDIT 2: I just thought that your TV may have an optical out on the back if you want digital audio into your amp! The analogue signal will be delayed if you're watching movies!

EDIT 3: Err and I know it's not an optical out on the MXQ, I was just getting confused!

              Thx patrickjb
The spdi f really doesn't work no matter what I do.
Somthing strang ...on the mxq when I plug in the A/V cable all the wey in to the analogue out only 1 speaker(of 4 From the sound bar) works, but when it is 3/4 in the mxq analogue out suddenly all works(4 on the sound bar and the sun). U solved my problem.
Audio is set to analogue 2 ch with upmix and all is good.
Why is it like that, I mean does it have a mini Jack out? Am I using wrong cable?
Again it is plugged in 3/4 of the way in and not all the way.

Is it a AV cable with three phonos on the end like this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Pro-Signal-P...=sr_1_1&sr=8-1

                    3.5 on the one side.
On the other 2 rca connectors
It even works with a 2 sides 3.5mm Jack
Only when I push it 3/4 in and not all the way in.
                    Strange!!!

Has anyone encountered random network slowness?
When issues are present, pinging my default gateway returns ~1000ms:

                      Code:
                      OpenELEC:~ # ping 10.0.0.138
                      PING 10.0.0.138 (10.0.0.138): 56 data bytes
                      64 bytes from 10.0.0.138: seq=0 ttl=64 time=1037.157 ms
                      64 bytes from 10.0.0.138: seq=1 ttl=64 time=1011.060 ms
                      64 bytes from 10.0.0.138: seq=2 ttl=64 time=1101.837 ms
after a while, it returns back to 1 to 2 ms. Router and device are very close (~30 cm)

Any idea what could be the problem?

michaelchen As I said a couple of posts back it needs to be a AV cable like this: http://www.****.co.uk/itm/1m-3-5mm-4...IAAOSwvgdW3Ibj Obviously you don't use the yellow connector as thats for the video but the socket is made for this type of jack. Note the image on the **** page!

                            signal overlap too close...

if its that close why not use a cable?
