I'm thinking of going back to 6.95.1.1 but wasn't that the version with the skin problems? I loose track sometimes!

Just found this old post and you 'may' have to set up the aml_autoscript again from what K says here: http://freaktab.com/forum/tv-player-...720#post562720

EDIT: Re-read the old post and I don't think it has anything to do with your problem!

kostaman OK, I can state that 6.95.1.1 was the build that sorted the skin problem. The builds after this had a host of changes which I'm still not sure are making my experience any better. Still unsure but will see how things pan out.

Trying what? If you have a V3 board as Kiwi, what's your situation atm?

It's a pity we don't have the signature function on this board, or it's not switched on by the Admin, as it would help if everybody stated their box / board and current working build. It's a bit of a bind to keep pasting it into every post but I think it does help everyone including K see what's going on. Newbies could just scan through the thread looking for a sig with their board number etc.

I know some are not keen to open their boxes up but as long as they're careful with the wifi antenna, probably impossible to solder it back, it's not a big deal.

The Amilogic Clones are a nightmare. I currently have 4 sitting from friends ect looking for firmware for devices that actually boot.... M8 mxq111 some with writting that they are s812 but under heat sink is a s802. Ya Pcb list is in the thread and someone put effort into showing alot of them and trying to link firmware but its a great thought in one listing maybe ( Identifiy your board thread would be good to do.)

Hi Scooter, As you're a Mod do you know if we can have the signature function switched on for this thread or is it not possible to turn it on for a single thread?

I speak to a few and see what best route. I like way Neomode set up forums with sections for firmware and sub areas it helps break it down better.

Yes. This is correct. I have (flashed) good Android rom. It has correctly working "Power Off". Then (after trying "boot from SD card method" with 6.0.3.2) I flash 6.0.3.4 to nand and everything works. "Power Off" works too. If I upgrade to 6.0.3.5 and up I lose "Power Off" function. If I revert to 6.0.3.4 my "Power Off" works again. So... Can you help ?

                            Nice work with the roms...
I've been using it on a black MXQ and works perfect, see there are alot of updates so will update it soon.

But i've also bought a new MXQ, this time it's the MXQ M12, which of the nand-zip files am i to use with this MXQ?

Maybe this post was invisible before, as NOBODY responded, but can someone tell me if one of the NAND files is compatible and is yes, which one.
Dont want to end with a bricked device.

Try any from SD card it won't / shouldn't affect your box in any way. If it works from SD then you should be safe to install to Nand if you want a speedier experience.

EDIT: Just make sure you use the SD card versions and follow the image copy instructions which mean you need to use the Windows image utility.

EDIT 2: The versions in your post are not the SD card versions by the way!

I am looking at purchasing a MXQ HD18Q all black to replace my aging MX2. I love Openelec on these boxes. How is Openelec working? I have read these pages a few times but still unsure of what issues might occur. Thanks in advance for your input.
