Reboot after using Media player
Originally posted by gixie View PostMore extensive testing: playing a 1080 mkv caused a reboot and looks like it's stuck on the boot screen. I unplugged it and hopefully it restarts.
One thing though: when it starts up I see the boot screen that takes up all the TV screen but then after a few seconds I can see it smaller in the middle of the screen with black bars all around. Is this normal?
ok, it booted completely after I cut the power. It did the same with 1.6. Must be the PSU, right? I got a 4A for my raspberry Pi but I think I will get a second for the stick as well...
I already used a more capable (and better quality) power adapter, but it doesn't seem to have solved the problem.
Any idea???
Flashed the default 1.7 rom, no overclock, no 720p or 1080p, just the one that come as default when you start the flashing tool.
Thank you

Thank you so much for this working 1.7 Version.
I just flashed it onto my MK809 (HTC-T002-V0). My Wifi with RTL8188EUS works without problems.
Antutu 3.0.3 first run 9530 point. First time i saw the OpelGL 2 Benchmark getting more then 10fps.
My third dongle was a "Monday-production" with an error on the HDMI connector. Using 1920/1080/60 or 1920/1080/50 brought a lot of bad fragments to my TV-Screen. Now using 24p the dongle works again correctly.
Btw. i am using the CPU1272 kernel.
Cheers, Neptune

Problem rebooting into flash mode
Hi All,
I have a UG802 (HTC-T002-V1) device. As I checked it almost the same as the 'original' V1 device but with Android 4.1 (however there are little differencies between the PCB).
It works perfectly but I'm courious about this ROM, so I decided to change.
At first let me give you a little feedback about the installing instructions:
I have followed the instructions but at step 9 (after the flash tool said:"Found RKAndroid Mass Storage Usb") the reboot button gave me an error message and didn't restart the device.
Discussing with an other device owner who had the same issue, he suggest the following method "http://www.slatedroid.com/topic/3444...i-how-to-root/", which is worked for him. After rooting with this method the only thing is to reboot the device from a Terminal Emulator app into flash mode and he can follow the original instruction from the driver install. This method didn't worked for me, but we've found out that the rooting method with the superoneclick application is working only under Android 4.0. At my device I had to use the following method: "http://www.armtvtech.com/armtvtechfo...topic.php?t=28", which was worked perfectly!
Supercool, I have a rooted device!
I think these informations will be usefull to the brave newbies like me how to handle the rktools problem.
The next step should be rebooting the device into flash mode, but I'm already stucked! I tried to reboot from terminal emulator app with the reboot bootloader or the reboot recovery commands (of course with su), but my PC didn't find any new device so I cannot install the required drivers...After reboot a I can see a lying Android on the TV screen waiting for repairing (with an open door at its belly), but nothing happens.
At last step I opened my device (that's how I know exactly which version I have) and I tried to boot with shorting the little pins but it wasn't working, the device booted up normaly.
Can anyone help me about this? I hope after the driver install the remaining steps will be easier...
And one more question Because I'm confused about the versions and subversions of this device I would like to save my ROM before flashing the new one just in case! Can You help me how should I do?
Regards:
Balazs

I don't know if this might help anyone, but I found a little fix for WiFi speed on my end. I tried it on both my Netgear and Belkin Router. What I did is go in and change the Wireless channel (where it wants you to select Auto or anything from 1-11) to anything but auto. In my case, I had the best luck with channel 5.
I don't think this will help much people, but remember that each of the channels are on a slightly different band, so if Auto mode selects a channel that you have a lot of interference in your house from, then the signal will still be poor even if you get full bars.
Again, this is one of those YMMV situation's, but in my case, it actually helped a lot.

Hi guys,
New to android TV, just got a Justop K9 mk809.
Its going ok have xbmc xaf running on it aswell as a few apps.
What i'd like to know is can these be set to install apps to external sd card ?
only 500mb for apps and as xbmc is over 100mb so its filling up fast.
Also was thinking of trying the finless 1.7 rom.
Do i have to ROOT it first ?
OR can i just update the rom ?
Thanks

For those regularly using their ug802's, which launcher are you using? I'm using the stock default launcher but text isn't crisp.. Might be my TV though. I'm using a 37" 1080p Samsung tv
