    Kernel for USB-Bluetooth Support

    Hello Bob,

I have installed the stock kernel of mk808b on my MK808 original. that enables support for USB Bluetooth dongles with your 1.7C rom.

But then I saw that my USB -> Analog Sound adapter isn't working after I have installed that bluetooth enabled kernel.
Also the microphone in the Logi C210 stopped working.

Do you think I can flash the kernel and boot.img of your 1.7C for MK808B into my MK808 ?
I hope to have USB Audio, USB BT and Logi Cam's Mic working then.
Or will it break my Wifi ?

I had your 2.0 Beta 4.2.2 on the MK808 and all this worked here, but I had issues wit 50% or even 100% System Cpu Load with no active user apps.
And some Apps were listed "not compatible" in google play. So I reverted to 1.7C.

Or is there a "better" Kernal which enables USB Bluetooth Support, USB analog oudio OUT, the Logi C120 Mic AND overclocking?

    Thanks

    Markus

Make sure these devices are plugged into the larger full sized USB port not the OTG mini port. The large USB port is a Host port the others on not. Most everyone that reported this on my ROM found it works fine when on the large Host USB port.

I then tried the original power supply with other USB cables. One cable I have made it LESS unstable. This one app that used to crash no longer crashes, but another app still crashes, but later in the process (KFS Open Benchmark).

Clearly, Leolas and others totally nailed it. The power supply with these things are pathetic. I opened it up and what's inside is just embarrassing. A major failing grade F in any electrical engineering class I'd think. Super thin wires directly connected to the 110V incoming power source for one. Is that even legal?

Anyway, I'm getting one of those PS Vita power supply, knock out the plastic thingies with some pliers and file, and this puppy will the power supply it deserves....
You will get a new experience with the device, A good power supply gives me other a completely different sensations.

First, I think I am still running in stretched 720p. Netflix looks significantly lower quality than my WII U stream. Also, I did not change any settings while installing finless. Did I need to choose a different kernel to get high cpu speeds and 1080p?

second question, don't know if anyone knows, but I can't seem to get 2 gamepads working at once. 2 xbox controllers seem to both get recognized as just 1. Any apps or methods to fix this? Would like some 2 player gaming!

Thanks for your help in advance, this stuff is cool.
If you go 1080p you feel the stick slow than 720, is a fact, the stick needs to make almost double of work.
Sorry but I don't use games actually, but remember that the game must support 2 pads.

Sv: NEW - MK808 "all models" Finless 1.7

If I already have downloaded and installed 1.6, can I use that flash tool or do I need to run everything from the 1.7 romkit?

Its the same, if you use the old tool you must set the path to the new rom img files, so I think is better to use the new one, why do you want to use the old tool?

              Hello Bob,

they are plugged into the big usb connector (via a usb hub).
They worked with 4.2.2 beta but not with the 1.7c kernel

No idea which kernel might help?

If you can, try it without usb hub, and tell us if it works.

Leolas. Bought PS Vita power supply from Sony store. $14.99+tax. The USB cable that came with the MK808B I managed to shove in there with a bit of force. First time it ran through Antutu all the way through. 9585 Score using Finless 1.6a. So, many thanks for the power supply article. I think way more people should see this, because I bet there are thousands of MK808B's and possibly other ones suffering from this ailment. A massive failure on Shenzhen Tomato IMO (assuming that they're the one behind these gadgets).

KFS OpenGL benchmark, also ran all the way through. Bamboo 37.733 fps Wavescape 37.387 fps Galactic Core 38.822 Overall 38.139 fps

This is all on 1.6a. I'll report scores using 1.7 shortly.

So all my messages about 1.7 and 1.6a being unstable, is all now blamed on the power supply. It's absurd, but there you have it. My apologies for the distraction. When I see anywhere people complaining about instabilities, I'll do my bit and point them to your article. So, back to 1.7 testing.... and back to how to repartition and making it ready for 2.0 without Windows...

How about being a spokes person for power supplies and posting this in the power supply thread?

Better yet! The FAQ thread we are trying to build....

                      Thanks!

Glad you got to the bottom of all this. I was starting to get pissed at you for calling my ROM's unstable Kidding man....

Hello Finless and all the community
I just bought a new usb to lan adapter because my old rd9700 was freezing my device (mk808b from geek)
The new one (asix ax88772) isn't fast in copying files from a samba server. I made some test here (post #13):

At this point I think that the problem is in the device or in the rom (finless 1.7).
Can someone explain me why the lan speed is so slow?
                          Thank you all

I didn't look into it so i may be wrong, but normally stock android launcher dosn't allow this. You have to install a third party launcher like apex or nova.

Have you tried plugging it into a USB hub (powered)?
I also have an asix ax88772 based adapter and the only way I got it working properly was to plug it into a powered usb hub. When plugged directly into my MK808, it works slowly, intermittently, or freezes.
