I'm using Bubble upnp and the already installed tvdvideo player to play video from my Plex server via DLNA and passthrough 5.1 AC3 on the X2 with no transcoding. The tvdvideo player is pretty basic. You could use MX Player as the player in Bubble upnp too but no passthrough with SW decoding (AC3 audio codec installed) so only 2 channel output. MX Player does passthrough when HW decoding is enabled but keeps crashing.

Hi everyone,
My apologies if I'm posting in the wrong thread.
Recently I bought two Beelink x2 devices for my household but have been having problems with the wifi signal. So far I have changed channels on my modem and installed various apps that show a strong signal to the device yet download speeds are pitiful at single figure kbps. Download speeds for my other devices vary between 5mbps and 10mbps with 7-8 being the norm.
I have tried to set a static IP but the settings revert to DHCP after restarting. My modem is a Zyxel D1000 and is brand new and updated with the latest firmware.
The firmware on the Beelink is Homlet4 .4.2-Qin2-V1.
Previously I had a generic MXQ running and had no such issues.
I am as my username suggests stumped so would really appreciate any input

I use the X2 only one thing: watch hd streams in Kodi (Exodus, Watch 1080p, etc ...). Because all decoders in kodi have problems (frame drops, aw-decoder has bad aspect ratio), I almost threw away the box. But then I had an idea. The X2 and Banana PI2 almost has the same hardware and the Banana Pi has Openelec... I found a guide which was about how to install Banana Raspbian on X2. But unfortunately I am not a Linux expert, so I could not do that. So I go back to android and tried Kodi alternatives (Vidon, Sbmc, ...), but none of them worked for me.
Finally I deleted 14.2 Kodi and tried the new 16 version, and now the enabled hardware accelerated Media Codec decoder has the ability to play full HD streams without frame drop. What a miracle!

I'm adding two images I found that show the same problem, right image is how it should look, and left image how it looks, it adds black bars on top of the video but doesn't display the video on the proper aspect ratio, it just stretches the underlaying video to fill the whole screen with black bars on top.

Do you have the same video settings (Settings->Video->Playback) in Kodi and SPMC?

Hello,
I'm having some problem with the box.
First of all after the last update I've lost the root, if I open super su it says that the binary can not be installed from there. Has anyone had the same problem?
But the very big problem is with the controls, there are some app where the scroll doesn't work and it is impossible to do this with the remote, neither the mouse mode or the arrows seems to work. For example netflix is non really usable since I can't scroll the list of episodes of a tv series for example. So I've searched if there is some androdi app to control the box from my phone, but I found nothing. Has someone able to solve this?
