Yes, works well in MX player. Of course, it is rendered in 720p and then upscaled to 1080p.

1. That is the latest downloadable firmware + download links
- for local update
- for USB update
2. After the local/USB update, I can expect OTA updates via Internet?
You speak about version 203k4, but I can only found for download 106k4!
=========================
3. 720 upscaled to 1080 is a HW limitation?
The version 203k4 kodi can decode all 1080p video smoothly, even 50Mbps 1080p/60hz and 50Mbps 4k/30hz.

I received 2 pieces of X2 from Gearbest.
One was a little scratched, but working.
The first one had Android in Chinese, but 've fixed the problem.
The second one (scratched) had Android in English.
I received 4 OTA updates (the last one was launched today).

My question is related to AC3.
AC3 sound format is not supported by X2.
This is reported by Antutu 3.0 and by Plex, that asks for transcoding because of that.
Can I do something to suppor AC3 decoding ?

I received my box today and updated it to the latest version ( 7th Jan 2016 ) but on Kodi I can't change the resolution, it's fixed at 720p, even if on Android is set to 1080p60.
Any idea how can I make Kodi work on 1080p?
Also on MX Player some files say AC3 not supported and I don't get audio, any fix for that too?
Thanks in advance

I have problems with Plex and missing AC3 support on this box
The 4th update was this morning, but I did not capture it.
Hi Monalis - the update pictures you post are as far as I get - then I see no more updates.
You mentioned a 4th update - so I expect you are now on the elusive 204k4 release. Can you please check that under settings/system?
If you have got onto 204k4 can you see if you can get the update files and upload them somewhere on the internet for the rest of us who cant get the update?
Easiest way if probably to install AIRDROID (from google play store). and then go to a PC
X2 must be on wifi (not ethernet).
Start Airdroid on the x2.
It will show you a web address (like http://192.168.1.99:8888 - or whatever airdroid on the x2 gives as its address...)
Type that into the browser on your PC and it will connect to the x2 - you have to ok the connection on the x2.
Now you can browse the folders on your PC and download any files you like.
The updates should be in the Files/SD card/adupsfota folder.
If you could post the update file(s) that would be great for people like me to have a play with.

1. Actually, from what I can see now, I'm on 205k4 version
I can see an update.zip on adupsfota folder.
I think it's only the last one.
You can find the file attached to this post
update.zip
* on my other X2 box I did not yet apply this update, so I might have the "last but one" update.
I'll check it in 10 hours, now is the middle of the night here.
2. I use 4K 30Hz resolution on my LG UHD TV and is reported as such by the tv.
3. For AC3 files to play in MX Player, you need a custom codec.
Download the file from http://goo.gl/U85k5K with your Box browser and start MX Player.
It will autodetect the file.
