In the adupsfota folder was only ONE file - the last (4th) update!

In a few hours I'll upload the 3rd update.

I have many files in adupsfota folder for the 203k4 update and this files are the package for the installation.
Look lhe screenshot:



And to install the newest firmware we need the all package.
I think i know why i can t upgrade with this file. Because this file is lhe last upgrade 205k4.
And we need first upgrade with the files from the upgrade 204k4 (i think is the 3º upgrade that you mentioned). This image from your post show the size and is more than the other upgrades. 78,86 Mb and i think this is the size from adupsfota folder or update.zip file.



When you can upload the 3º upgrade (204k4) we should test.

I can see an update.zip on adupsfota folder.
I think it's only the last one.

* on my other X2 box I did not yet apply this update, so I might have the "last but one" update.
I'll check it in 10 hours, now is the middle of the night here.

2. I use 4K 30Hz resolution on my LG UHD TV and is reported as such by the tv.

3. For AC3 files to play in MX Player, you need a custom codec.
Download the file from http://goo.gl/U85k5K with your Box browser and start MX Player.
It will autodetect the file.

I think you are right - I tried installing this on 203k4 - which is as far as the online update system seems to want to take me.
It complained about the update file - seems to report that it required something else - So I think it is checking that I have 204k4 installed - and of course I dont have that.
So pretty sure your file is the 205k4 update!

If you can catch 204k4 and make that available that would be wonderful - cant think why their online system wont update me - I have flashed back to 106k4 several times and the online updates take me up to 203k4 each time then stops...

I think TRIGTOP firmware update is not the same as the official one, so if you flashed TRIGTOP his latest version is 203k4 I think.

The gearbest release should be the 'official' firmware.

It does not scan the database!
I can only use the File option.
I've reset the DB, but doest not work!

If not if came with 203k4, you should update and download to 204k4 and next shut off the internet connection and should able to copy the files.

Or if someone can do that.

i have my beelink x2 with 205k4 and i can't view videos in youtube app(says click to try again on the video area), is this normal?
i think i have made more than 4 updates since i have it, youtube never worked...

I really do not know, but it easy to try.
If you delete the downloaded external codec, MX Player will not use it.

Can see one more thing in the folder system in the root... You have a file called build.prop open like txt and in the bottom copy and the paste the information of the OTA.

Should help to understand why some people have the update and some people no.

OK - Got the 104k4 img file from gearbest - I assumed it to be a factory image.
I flashed the x2 with this version.
It now just reports that the box is up to date and does nothing else - I am quite stumped!
Does anyone know for sure if the TRIGTOP software releases actually supported auto update?
So that would make his software a completely different branch to the standard software?

I talked with superceleron and the only way to make a backup of the system is with a compatible TWRP (Custom Recovery).

Or with a app that can do that... i made a serch and i found a app "Flashfy" but i dont have the knowledge if work to make the backup.

It's just need the full backup of "SYSTEM" and "KERNEL" and "BOOT".
