That's first thing I tried, but does not work for me. Value is remembered, but is completely ignored next time I start Kodi.

You are right for 200ms, for me its about 225ms, but it will increase over time, so I found that 325ms is good approximation.

And that is right only for streaming addons, like youtube. For local files starts from 0 and increase over time. Also, Kodi remember audio offset values for each local file and every single one must be reseted for later use. To much hassle... I did not test local files intensively. Youtube is my poison

      A little review
Wasn't Working on arrival, says mode not compatible on my Samsung TV due to video output , I search for three days (not all the day to resolve issue with several firmware flash, I finally find 106k firmware thanks to Trigtop, and change some programs like Kodi wich was not working for me. now it's working but it's perfectible, still have i Wi-Fi issue.
Maybe I'm picky for this but, a little demand: is it possible to take off the"do you really want to power off"? 😆

Hi Komicar, do you use preinstalled kodi? When I get box I uninstall kodi with plenty addons, install clean 14.2 from kodi.tv, Install few addons which I use (youtube and few streaming addons for SVK/CZE market mostly) and install kodi updates from gplay. I primary watch streams and I can do anything (on/off kodi; on/off box; skip fw and bw; pause film and go to android homescreen, check emails and than go back to paused kodi and resume) and audio delay is still same all time - currently none with default delay, I no need to change it over time.

I use rom 104 updated via local update, in android settings I don't have enabled pass through, my audio output mode is audio_hdmi only.

Kodi audio settings: 2.1 channels, Optimalized, stereo upmix, low(fast) resampling, passthrough turned off. In advancedsettings.xml I have enlarged buffer to 100MB. Local file I tried only skipping forward (I don't have any which I didn't see before and I want see again) and it's ok too.

No, I have Kodi 15.1.1 - latest stable release. Firmware is v106, and all the settings are default, I think.

Thanks for the google launcher tip but still no dice. Can't see the permissions window anywhere. I tried an alt-tab task switcher app as well...no luck. Anyone got any other ideas? Can't believe no one has faced this issue, PIA VPN is fairly common.

Maybe heres a better question - what VPNs are people using -- looking for an openvpn client that works with these ROMs.

I find Cyberghost to be the best and you can use it for free to test it out.

They often give new users a better deal than most during the free period of use too.

If I understand correctly you are having the problem of switching between apps that are executing at the same time? Correct ?

I have the same problem ?

Is there a way to see what apps are operating and switch between them?

In an android phone you that by eg long pressing the HOME button?

How do you that in this box using the standard remote provided?

                    Any ideas?

I using more apps simultaneous too. Start app, press home, start another app. Then press home again and start first app same way like before (by click on icon). App will open at point where you press home button first time, it doesn't close and start from beginning.

                        Hello,

I got this box as a replacement for my WDTV that gave up after years of service. But my old setup does not work now as intended. My old setup was like this:

WDTV was connected to TV via HDMI, TV receiver was connected to TV via HDMI and TV was connected to DD capable Home Theater via optical. This way I was able to get DD sound from both TV receiver and mkv files played with WDTV.

Now WDTV is replaced with X2 and I cannot get 5.1 sound. When I enable passthrough from Kodi, all I get from my home theater is noise. What is wrong here?

This is my first android device so please be through if you decide to help me.

                        Thank you,

In settings, have you changed the sound output to SPDIF?

The 106 is a much improvement firmware. But it still is lacking in many areas. I always use the VST program as a bench mark. If it runs well, I give it a passing grade. Memory Management is very poor (i have a 32gb UHS sd card on the box) and thus the high demand vst apk APP do not run very well. (far too many issues to list). Its competitor (the silver color box) is very far ahead in terms of performance). People use this kind of boxes for streaming..so it must be able to take advantage of the sd card to swap and smooth out the vidoe output. (including being able to buffer the streaming). Video quality is still poor. I put both unit side by side and 10 out of 10 people asked whats wrong with the picture.
However, I noticed, like the competitor, each firmware upgrade improved the box. So lets hope things get better and better. At the very least, there has been several updates and that is a plus form this box

I'll try that when I get home but optical out is not connected on X2 box. I was carrying encoded sound via HDMI. My TV is connected to home theater via optical. Is that ok?

Hi all, I have the TRONFY X2 box (which I'm guessing is based on the Beelink X2).

I have successfully updated the firmware to the last one posted here (v106) which has given me a true 1080p GUI and picture but I'm still having issues with audio passthrough in Kodi. I have tried the preloaded 14.2 and the newer 15 versions of Kodi (also the dev 16 version), Vidon Xbmc, Spmc and all of them have problems with audio passthrough.

On the 14.2 versions I can get passthrough with DTS solidly but the video stutters slightly with mkvs.
On the newer 15 versions the videos are fine but the DTS track keeps losing signal with the receiver.
With no passthrough it's fine just outputting in 2 channel pcm stereo.

I have set the audio passthrough in the X2 box settings to HDMI and SDIF, changed box resolutions, different HDMI/Ethernet cables and tried every type of config I can think of in Kodi (adjust frame rate, advanced buffer settings for low powered devices etc) all to no avail.
My reciever is a YAMAHA RX-671 and I have BT Infinity with 75MB/s dl/.

It's so frustrating!! Just can't get the thing to work properly with audio passthrough.
