Listen to this guy Bob, I imagine he and I have similarly trained eyes that can spot framerate studder at anything below 45 fps. If there had been issues anywhere near that of the MK908's, you would have heard about it a long time ago from one of us. This is definitely unique to the new hardware.

Thanks for all you do, Bob. We all really appreciate it.

Yes I can confirm that Netflix does not skip frames on my MK808 or UG802.

I have a bad feeling this is in the kernel! I think we better hope Tronsmart gets on the wagon here and fixes some of these kernel issues.

So does the T428 have this same problem? If not I'll probably just return my mk908 and get that instead. Assuming geekbuying isn't too difficult to work with on these sorts of things...

I will check now. This might tell me if it is in the kernel.

If T428 does not skip then I know it is kernel.

The T428 also Netflix skips when not moving the mouse.
So it is some kind of common thing with 3188 devices.

I am going to try the stock 4.2.2 kernel with the 4.1.1 ROM and see if that also skips.

It´s nice to know there´s others as visually picky as me lol. If i´m hungover I can even see 60hertz monitor refreshes as well as incandescent lightbulbs refreshing... It´s annoying.

But yes without Finless Bob´s first ug802 rom back when I got my original I may have given up on the sticks... those annoying alternative launchers infuriated me. I always try to follow what new finless roms are out. So to reiterate my friend´s comment, THANK YOU so much for the work you put in. I´m sure you get a lot of requests for things and at times it´s probably overwhelming but we really really do appreciate all that you do.

                Kernel Sources?

Saw this on the Imito QX1 forum.. just linking to it if anyone is interested.

                kernel sources https://github.com/crewrktablets/rk3x_kernel_3.0.36.

I have such a small amount of experience with this sort of thing... I did build a custom 3066 linux kernel that I´m currently running but it came with a lot of instructions. I´m curious if this is the kernel to boot linux or android. Just figured it might be useful to someone if they hadn´t happened to come across it yet.

Would love to see a kernel that supports Linux.... has anyone who owns an Rk3188 device tried using the "Complete Linux Installer" app and seen if it works?

Sheesh..... why not go try it yourself?

Honestly we are just trying to get Android OS stable let alone worry about Linux at this time

                    No offense dude but really?

Yeah I mostly threw the link there figuring it was android kernel rather than linux. I just wasn´t sure.. which is the only reason I even brought up linux in my post.

Tronsmart MK908 Microphone problem and Power Off problem.
Testing my new MK908 I have found a couple of odd things. I don’t know if I am doing anything wrong, but Power OFF and the Microphone does not seem to work. I have tried on Finless 1.4 AND the Org firmware from Geekbuying. Same problems. “Power Off (from "Reboot app)" leaves the blue light on and my screens goes: “Video format not supported”.
Skype does not work with sound from the microphone. Video is OK. App: “Sound Meter (light)” cannot find any sound. BOTH problems do NOT exist on my MK808 or my fake MK809 from DX. They both work!

For one, I don´t believe the mk908 has a microphone. Lots of sticks don´t.

The power off issue - I run into varying behaviour with that depending on the stick. I have a couple that it will shut down all the way to a powered-off mode, but the rest keep the light on. To be honest I don´t even use that. I´ve never found it to work reliably across the board.

I was about to say "It has a microphone???" but you beat me to it. I'll take a closer look this evening. Regarding power off I'm running my MK908 with a Logitech K400 (keyboard and touch pad combined). The keyb has a power on/off button and it powers the MK908 right down.

WEB CAM with mic and Power Off

I will try to explain better in very deep details:
I have 2 Web Cams. Each Web Cam has a build-in microphone. Both Web Cams microphone works on MK808 and on my (Fake) Mk809. The 2 Web Cams are connected to USB (of course). The video works, but the MIC on the cams, does NOT work on Tronsmart MK908. I have tried the Org Firmware and the Finless 1.4. No luck. The Tronsmart MK908 does not seem to get the Mic on the Web Cams to work. They both work great on MK808 and Fake MK809. Problem with Power Off. I have connected a Keyb. with power off. When doing Power Off from Keyb: The blue led never goes out m MK908. When using MK808 and Fake MK809 the blue LED goes OUT!
