TWRP is not working on the V3_1 board well i havent managed to get it working.


To get android running back onto your box your going to have to use the usb burning tool as said before

Thanks for Answering, What image would you recommend using for the usb burning tool. most images i find and load gives error and wont load some will and it goes 2% then error.

The reason it does that is because you need to hold the rest button in until it goes past that point that's hat I had to do

Make sure the pic speakers are turned up and when you hear it disconnect the reconnect let go of the reset switch inside the AV hole then it should flash fine

How did you flash that? USB burning too(?) and if so, which version as I've seen several. OR, did SD card, or even USB flash drive work?

I used OpenELEC-Amlogic.HD18Q.arm-6.0.3.1
.img just format your SD card.. put the SD card in your box using the toothpick while plugging in the power. go here and read up on it.

Thanks. I'll give it a shot, but since it's now hard bricked(red light only...) I may need to short the Nand pins to get it moving again. We'll see.

If the Image from JD un brick wouldnt work on your device youll have to get one from manufacture. Or try the second method (Thats the biggest problem with these clones no stock firmware for device. )

Can someone help me find a working rom for this board. I am able to get into the recovery but i just cant find the right rom files. I've flashed many roms via the recovery mode but they all give me a blank screen with a constant blue light sometimes red. I dont know if i did something right or i have the wrong files. If anyone know which files i need for my box please provide a link to the rom that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

The distributors have no clue either....

I lost stock rom and install another rom with only power button working from remove and no wifi. I really need a rom with working wifi. Any suggestions? I see a lot of people with realtek wifi chip on here but no mediatek.

i Have MXQ s805 v3_1 20151230 i can get the usb burning tool to flash no problem with aml_upgrade_package_mxq_20151113 after it turns on everything loads. i have wifi. but remote wont work. when i upgrade to cyx_MXQ_8189etv_8g1g_kodi_addons_16 it will install then restarts and stays at Mbox logo. also the red light stays on. dose anyone have any images i could maybe try thanks

Warth7 tutorial for MXQ v3_1 20151230 RED LIGHT: USB Burning Tool V 2.0.5.15 Load Image (aml_upgrade_package_mxq_20151113) Might need to short pins thats what i did. After you get Burn Successful The hook up your box but no power!!! Very Important NO POWER!!! Then Get SD Card And Put cyx_MXQ_8189etv_8g1g_kodi_addons_16 using SD card Burner with the u-boot in that file. After that is done put it in the SD card Slot in your MXQ, Hold RESET Then plug in power. Blue Light Will Come On. Let It Install Leave It Alone. After Its Finished You Should Blue Light Back On. But mine Is stuck on Mbox Logo it restarted and its just like loading on mbox logo. but i do have blue light back this is testing only thanks. an info about the stuck logo and how to get around it would help thanks
