      Sorry for OT:

      @strauzo:
You seem to be quite the fan of droidmote and I would definitely like to use it aswell.
However I can not get it to work.

I've not yet installed nexus rom (will do so soon). I'm still using a Finless 4.2.2 version on my CX-919. When I let the server run and try to find it with my client (phone) via search button it does not find anything. When I directly enter the IP adress manually, the devices connect (or at least I don't get any error message). Then however nothing happens when I use the touchscreen of my phone.

It does work when I use RKRemote (phone connects without issue). But the app is a bit laggy and I was hoping for improvement by using droidmote.

Does the finless kernel maybe not include the uinput required to run droidmote? Has anybody droidmote running on finless 4.2.2 for CX-919?

Also I wanted to know how do you handle the stick before you enable the server? As I can see it you still require some kind of input device so that you can start the server?

Thanks in advance for your answers.

No hurry from my side. Think it is a really good thing to add to a stick. I bought mine as I wanted a simple device to watch TV shows and keep up to date with personal affairs without having to use my work laptop.

The RK3188 stick + bluetooth airmouse + 64Gb SDXC seemed perfect. I could plug it into the Hotel TV's USB (power) and HDMI sockets, connect up to WiFi, and then use the airmouse to watch TV shows, read emails, browse web.

        Seemed perfect ....

... except the TV shows stutter
.... and bluetooth airmouse didn't work
.... and the better images can't read exFAT drives!

Strauzo seems to have got the video sorted, Measy have sorted the bluetooth and there's a solution developed for exFAT.

It just needs to come together in the same image (with hardware accelerated XBMC) and we will be laughing
Measy U4B (=Tronsmart T428) used by my kids!
        Onda v975m - M802 - Bought from Banggood.com
        Pipo M8HD 3G - RK3188 - don't buy from pipo-store

Sure that work on every rk3066 and rk3188 with all roms.

The error that you have is because you don't have the last version from google play i think. You must use last client with last server. Otherwise you have problems as you explain.

In the settings of the original DroidMote Server settings, you have the option start on boot . only the first time that you install new firmware, with a mouse you click this checkbox and from this moment you can do all with your phone or tablet or with any other android device. Every time you start your hdmi stck the server start automatically.

          Look this:

DroidMote is an app that let you control Android, Linux, Windows and Chrome OS devices. With your phone you can control apps and games that support all kind of interactions: gamepad, mouse and keyboard or touch actions. With an hardware gamepad instead you can control multi touch games and games that requires mouse and keyboard. With the DroidMote KMredirect add-on you can control multi touch games and games with gamepad support with mouse and keyboard.

I think I might have found the solution to the video problem:

Source code changes are also included on the page so that might bring it 1 step closer to "getting things together".

Btw. that kernel also works with BT keyboards. The range with my keyboard is very poor though but that might be a different problem.

I'm running Finless 4.2.2 ROM with Strauzo's MK908 kernel and Droidmote on my CX-919 with very good results.

Well i'm happy for you if this is true.

Your next step will be a rom with sdk2 and you other step will be a rom with multi-windows.

But if you want, you can use already the nexus rom multi windows that have all inside.

                    Video fix
                    Sdk2
                    Multi windows
Widevine drm for app like netflix
Bravia engine for better video and image quality
                    Many kernel modules
                    And more and more

And where is the fix of Rockchip ?
The fix of Rockchip is the same place as your fix for the video, behind closed doors and out of sight !

Fortunately the community can now move along with progress in other areas Good job phjanderson !

Yes but for sure the center button of DroidMote not work because you have a chinese rom with modified input manager. You can have problems also with hardware controllers.

If you use the Nexus you are free of patch and cinese orrors.

Or if you want use the chinese rom but you want the central button of droidmote work, i suggest to use a custom keylayout as workaround for the problem.

You can download and select the rk3066.kl from droidmote support forum.

Strauzo, I have no intention to "compete" with you. Your work on the SDK2 roms is great, I wouldn't be able to do the same. My only objection was that you didn't share your video fix and thus making the whole custom rom community dependent on you. While your work is great, no single person can handle all the requests and different types of hardware alone. I believe that me sharing the video fix can bring your nexus rom to a larger audience with different hardware from the sticks you currently own.

Let's all work together, not compete, thanks!

Don't be too hard on the guy, as I understand it he's not too old and although a lot more knowledgeable than me in some areas, lacking in others. His intentions were good, his methods not so much.

We'll all be happier once you all set up github accounts. Code wants to be free, it found a way this time too.
