Former nexus was ok.

I used this ROM (nexus multi-windows 1.2) with the Finless 4.2.2 Kernel for CX-919 and its works perfectly.
(I tested only in the CX-919).

Former nexus ROM by Strauzo (file: T428 Nexus 07.13.2013 ) was OK regarding SOUND.
But all the others who installed the multi window 1.2 should have the same problem. Am I right? Regardless nobody writes about that. Strange.

How did you accomplish that exactly. I only got black screen on mine.

I used the tool where you can unmark all the other things and only flashed the kernel.

That did not work for me on my CX919

I flashed the latest nexus rom (T428 Nexus SDK2 Multi-Windows v1.2) but I have NO SOUND. I changed the build.prop according the advices to see the volume buttons but still no sound. What did I do wrong??

Any advice is appreciated.

Dumb, I know, but at rare times my sound will go out on these things and you just need to play with the volume buttons.. mostly it happens in netflix and then I have to use netflix's volume slider in the upper right.

No sound at all. Not even notification sound or Youtube or any other app. I thought that the volume was down by default. Since there are no visible volume buttons in the latest release I modified the build.prop to get them but no success. I have flashed back the T428 Nexus 07.13.2013 version.

I'm using nexus m/w v1.2 with the included kernel. Sound is OK and with SoundAbout I can also change it between HDMI and USB.

Sound is a know issue with 3188 devices from the start on some TVs.
Boot the stick with the TV off. Then turn the TV on. See if that works.
This was posted months ago somewhere.

Oh and also watch out the for crappy HDMI cables they supply... Of all the sticks I have, I have 3 bad HDMI cables.

It is a well-known thing at chinese manufacturers that they swap some parts out during mid-production, and patch up the support later on. A great example is the Cube U30GT - they replaced the WiFi chipset and the screen after the first two batches, and later on dropped support for the old ones.
I am yet to meet a company who does not do this with 1-2months old models.

Just a thought, but I've had luck with the screenslider option by switching out the boot.img. Here's one I made:

Just use strauzo's flash tool, uncheck everything except for boot, and browse it to my boot.img.. can't hurt to try. This fixed a rom for me that was having the same issue.

Thanks for your suggestion Hoabycsr. In the meantime I have moved to the 1080p Hybrid firmware from Lewy et al and that is *mostly* working for me a real treat.
