The rom should work, you must only try to change the wifi module. But if you use the mk908 kernel and module, it can work. Follow what we do with T428 and you can reproduce on your mk908 ans in all other rk3188 sticks. i don't have one mk908.

I also have the bluetooth working on the last 4.2.2 pipo rom

      install terminal emulator

      type reboot recovery

      and install this patch

      <DELETED>

I finally got a base rom that satisfies me in all. Video are very very good in all players and specially in xbmc libstagefright version. The wifi and bluetooth are very stable. The ui stable and fast. Antutu over 17400

      i'm very happy

Awesome work! I am going to test here in a bit, the only other thing this rom needs now is to fix rotation, remove battery icon and be rooted and I think it will make an awesome alternative to the other t428 roms available.
I see you edited boot.img and bootanimation too nice!

Bluetooth patch is working nicely!! Will test its stability throughout the day just to see

Anyway in build.prop you can change screen lock and sleep to be off also?

MAJOR BUG: Thought your version of CWM might have had it fixed, but I have ntoiced anytime CWM is installed as a recovery the internal sd card is no longer mounted. Love this rom, but cannot use it without an SD card, can the bluetooth fix be applied manually?

It is already rooted and all necessary best parameters. The base rom is just one of the best rom for rk3188 devices. The base rom is the work of Christian Troy.

I ported wifi, bluetooth and adapt all to be installed on T428.

The orientation is a minor problem, because when you set in landscape the first time. You don't have problems anymore. A little trick: long press on landscape in rotation locker and you have always landscape.

Patching the original android code to disable forever the portrait mode is another bad practice of hdmi sticks roms, because with this patch many apps can crash.

Now we have an original and very good android 4.2.2 rom for the t428.

Here is systemui.apk without battery icons SDcard still needs to be fixed though and device cannot be woken once in sleep mode so that needs to be disabled by default

                U4B

Today I install U4B firmware on my t428 since specs are similar. Same firmware except for power. Now when power off the only choice is sleep mode, but now my on/off button on my rc13 work. To root this firmware I use the rk3188 from vondroïd but you need at each boot to activate in usb setting the connect to pc (by default it is off). For the video jittering it is there, but strangely when playing a 1080p it look like less jittering then 720p, maybe the coding of the movie.
T428 ,Radxa Rock (RR), cs918s v1.0, waiting for my X7...

as i write above, at first rom installation, format the flash nand and you have the sdcard work forever.

i suggest to format the nand flash for every new rom, otherwise you can have old things inside.

if i use the external power supplies itdon't wake up , but attached to the usb of my tv it wake up wothout problems.

this last thing need a solution. but the rom is very very good specially for videos and specially for xbmc

Thats the very first thing I did......... sdcard just isnt working. I have tested CWM with rk3188 long before this thread, and the reasoning behind me not using it was exactly this. It breaks internal sdcard. How can I apply bluetooth fix manually instead of using CWM. Also since most users dont have a tv that can power the device via USB it might be useful if the sleep was turned off all together.

This rom is based on last 4.2.2 for Pipo 27.05.
the rom should be installed using CWM recovery.

copy the update-signed.zip to an external sd-card

Flash with the tool RKAndroidTool.exe only:

                    RK3188Loader(L)_V1.20.bin
                    parameter
                    misc
                    kernel
                    boot
                    recovery

Power on the T428 and in CWM recovery:
                    wipe/factory reset
install zip from external sd card
                    select update-signes.zip and install

                    <DELETED>

                    Followed these exact instructions

well. to have sdcard working. when you installed the rom the first time, go in Settings -> Storage and try to mount the nand flash, in the status bar on top you see a message that suggest you to format the nand flash. Format and you have all working.

Only after the first installation, this is normal becouse we have installed the rom via CWM recovery. From this moment you can format the sdcard also with CWM recovery.

if you have only the external power supplies, for now disable the lock screen from settings and you don't have wake up problems. on this i can investigate.

Clicking mount storage gave me a message saying "Damaged storage". I have rebooted device mutiple times since instaling however, does it only work after system has booted first time?

well. this is your work make a good guide and organize better our work.

in this thread we are all equal and everyone can contribute with what he knows

for example i don't speak english very well and i know that i make uncomprehensible guide and how to.

i suggest to test the xbmc libstagefright version, the video decode is very very good.

i used also the advancedsettings.xml for decode of 1080p videos

This ROM is based on the latest 4.2.2 ROM for the Pipo M9 tablet (05/27/2013)
and should be installed using CWM recovery. Follow these directions to install

                                Before Flashing:

                                (1) Download ROM and Bluetooth Patch -
                                ROM: https://www.dropbox.com/s/7ohos9ary9...27.05-pipo.rar
                                Bluetooth Patch: https://www.dropbox.com/s/2y7hz2ztze...ooth-patch.zip
                                (2) Insert Micro SD card into PC
                                (2) Extract the downloaded ROM file from the above link to any easy to find location on your PC and copy the bluetooth patch zip file to your microsd card (DO NOT extract)
                                (3) Next, in the extracted ROM directory right click and copy the update-signed.zip to the micro sdcard and then remove from PC and insert into your T428
                                (4) In the same folder as the update-signed zip open the RKAndroidTool.exe
                                (5) Hold the recovery button on your T428 and insert its microusb cable into your PC.
                                (6) Once the status of the RKAndroidTool says "Found device", perform an eraseIDB and then select and flash only these specific files:

                                • RK3188Loader(L)_V1.20.bin (must change path to use V1.20 and NOT V1.00)
                                • parameter
                                • misc
                                • kernel
                                • boot
                                • recovery

                                After flashing:

Power on the T428 and in CWM recovery:

                                (1) Wipe/Factory reset & Clear Cache
                                (2) Install zip from SDcard > Install zip from external sd card
                                (3) Browse to location of update-signed.zip and install
                                (4) Once installation has completed select reboot and boot device for the first time
                                (5) Once device has booted and has gone through the set up process open the settings application and select "Storage"
                                (6) From the storage menu under NAND flash select "Mount" (it should give you an error in the status bar)
                                (7) Once you see the error click it and it will ask you to repair/reformat the internal sd card and you're all done!
