I notice that there is a new file named telos_openelec_mmc_v20160407.img.xz on Yandex.
is this an update of some kind to the original?

Also, is there any way for this to be installed directly to the internal SD as the primary OS so to speak?

Just dloaded and installed (v20160407) on SD, took a lot longer to set up SD card (must be slower card) on telos than previous version.
Using Kodi 16.1-rc2 unsure what the other version was at the minute. Ethernet only at the present.
          More looking
          Cheers

Hello bluesmanuk, Balbes150(author) amended the Telos OE image to provide for working IR remote in OE, the image you point to is this.

I think Balbes150 is working on an install method for OE and the Ubuntu. It may be that Wifi and BT will come too.

Thanks for the updates and clarifications guys.

Would be great if it could be installed to the faster internal SD.

The following assumes your error occurs when trying to modify u-boot. Try using this SD firmware.zip (don't extract) with the aml_autoscript (not the file with the ".txt" extension) file to modify u-boot. Place both files on the root of an SD card and the follow the Update&Backup app instructions.

                      Hello,

I got a 64Gb SDcard. Therefore it cannot be formatted in Fat32. It is formatted in exFat. I don't know if that is the reason but the first procedure failed (telos_update_uboot) with the following screen (see attachement) http://tinypic.com/r/2qx0odl/9

For the first step of the procedure that modifies u-boot, a small card of 8GB or less, is better, Fat32 required. For the second step of the procedure that writes OpenELEC to an SD card, up to 32GB has been tested to work by Balbes150. Some reported using 64GB(I think), but I don't remember where I read it.

There are plenty of utilities out there that will allow you to format your card to Fat32.

                          Just one example http://tokiwa.qee.jp/EN/Fat32Formatter/

I checked several different SD cards. Work best SanDisk and Transcend. Maps of Kingston and Silicon Power - had problems. You need to check Your card on the PC using the gparted program. You need to check the placement of partitions and size.

For the first stage of the upgrade of u-boot you can use a USB stick the size of 2-8 GB.

                                Two news :
                                1. bad, I did Telos in the brick.
                                2. the good news. Found an easy way to restore and the possibility of the make of the modified u-boot. Which will allow you to install to eMMC other systems (Openelec Debian Ubuntu etc). The same can be simplified to run an external system without modifying the regular u-boot. First stage of preparation don't need.
