Samsung 16GB Evo μSD(class 10) via card reader or SD card adapter in card slot.
Transcend 8GB SD (class 6) via card reader or card slot.
Kingston 8GB μSD(class4) via card reader or SD card adapter in card slot.
Others, but they only worked in a card reader or the slot, not both, so I wont list those.

There is not cause for embarrassment. But a methodical process will help pinpoint your issue.

I used USB with flashing light, the unit boot to Tronsmart flash screen, after few second it went black while the USB light kept flashing, I waited for 3hrs it won`t boot to OE. So I have run through all the options suggested, nothing seem to work.
I`m down to either sell the three boxes, or continue to bang my head against wall while children of corn & wife continue to beat me down becos I can get their boxes to work with OE, OR someone post a backup of their clean (no personal configuration) system which I restore in box, if it would work, at lease one step is eliminated or someone post unzip files for first the first and second steps, I know this large files but we could make an exception. Finally, any other suggestions, as I am willing to try anything possible to get these boxes works for my family.

SO WHAT ABOUT ME PROVIDING A BACK OF MY SYSTEM IF THIS COULD BE LOAD INTO ANOTHER SYSTEM FOR REVIEW AND TROUBLESHOOTING would this help to figure out my issue

Surely the next step is to follow the advice given by RISCy Dude and purchase one of the cards that he listed that works.

What is the volume of the flash drive ? What image is used for recording on the flash drive ? What TV connected to Meta ? If the volume of the flash drive more than 8 GB, download that image, put it on a flash drive and try to boot from it. What program to record images ? What OS on the computer ? Is it possible to use another computer and a program for writing ?

In the near future, I'll try to put together a special test version that would try to perform a number of checks that should help to find the cause.

I have encounted this type of a problem, many times beg borrow or steal (don't steal) 8GB stick or SD or 16 GB and try different TV or even PC monitor
Strange things happen with HDMI 2 and some makes of TV's and Monitors.

Boot to android make sure all looks, set display to 720 or 1080 in android then do the boot to OE if one fails try the other.

I have a swag of USB and TF cards they all have minds of their own, especially if it's a TF card in an Adapter (not a fan)
Samsung EVO TF in adapter does work well here

Using win10 no problems with Win32DiskImager, you maybe using other methods

@ trebor thanks for those kind words and encouragement I surely need this, I shall give those suggestions a try and report back of my experience.
It sound as thought nothing wrong with my approach but the system may be sensitive to all the pheriperals ie other connectivity.
Just to mention the Android side of things works nicely, no issue to report.

First, let me start by thank U to all for your supports, I have a positive report after all.
Well I have followed the procedure to letter, as been mentioned many times, the issue is that it appears that s95 OE is very picky with the sort of drive used for Openelec, I did try five diff types both USB & SD Card, till I reluctantly decided to use a USB Scandisk already used for an Official Generic Openelec, low and behold when I tried this disk it booted into Openelec.
I should suggest that for those that I have succeeded with s95 OE, that we should post or compile a list of disk either USB or SD cards that have worked, to help others newcomers so they don't stumble on this type of issue. pls post specific brand and url for where to purchase.
Now I can start testing this box with OE and provide feedback with hope to providing feedback that would make this version of OE a full prove.
I shall soon provide feedback of my experience.

My other half has asked whether the possibility of having it running exclusively on the internal SD is on the cards, as she wants hers to run exclusively as a Kodi media player.

This would be a great option, I have spend over 40 dollar on SD that did not work, this option is available in Wetek, either using internal or external drive, in my case I have 3 of this units it is not cost effective to try an error several SD Cards, as each one this unit could behave differenly.

@ balbes150 first thanks for this build any future plan to have OE on internal derive.
