Just tested, base Dolby Digital is fine, base DTS has dropped sounds every 8-9 seconds in the stock Vidon Kodi. Haven't been able to play with it much though.
The box came with the latest firmware, so haven't done anything with it, besides having a go with OpenElec.
If you or anyone else have HDMI HD Audio passthrough working, could you please give me your settings in the sound output menu?
Same for automatic frame rate switching. Anything else then default (=60hz) leaves me with a black screen as soon as video playback starts. Allthough my tv (LG50PK250 plasma) might play a role too.

Thanks, but the DTS dropouts only happen in Android/Vidon.
DTS/Dolby Digital is working fine in OpenElec, just no sound when passing through HD Audio (dts hd ma specifically)

I.m wondering if there should't be an HDMI option under Audio Output Device?

I've got two options: ALSA: DEFAULT (AML,MBAUDIO S/PDIF) and something with PULSE BLUETOOTH.

For Android, when in VidOn/Kodi/XBMC, make sure you have set the settings to "Expert". This reveals all possible audio options. For balbes150's OpenELEC, should be the same. At the bottom of settings you will see general, click it until it says expert. I think I remember dts-HD Master playing fine in both OE and VidOn. But for VidOn, you must create an account at VidOn.me. Then enter your new user name and password in the VidOn settings.

RISCy Dude; thanks for the heads-up. To recap:
In Android/Vidon; HD audio working(after registering with Vidon), Dolby Digital working, DTS has dropouts every 8-9 seconds
In OpenElec; Dolby Digital working, DTS working, no sound when using HD audio passthrough

To use the setting of remote control from his model. 1. Run OE. 2. Open the PC's network environment and to find OE in the list. 3. Access through network directory /storage/config and copy file remote.conf from your TV box. 4. Restart the OE. Either second variant. 1. Install the PC driver ext2fs. 2. Connect media OE to PC. 3. Copy the file remote.conf in the config directory on media with OE.

I'm having trouble setting up openvpn in OpenELEC version 7.0. I'm looking for confirmation whether or not openvpn has been preloaded into the 7.0 build we are using to dual boot OE.
I have tried the files from Metal Kettle for PIA and tried running openvpn manager from here:OpenELEC openvpn manager to set it up. I get an error that the openvpn executable failed to run, matter what I have tried.
Help is appreciated.I believe that if life gives you lemons, you should make lemonade... And try to find somebody whose life has given them vodka, and have a party.

If anyone knows a specific openvpn that will work in this build please let me know. The second question is how to get the "executable" into that folder. I expect that Winscp may be able to do that.
balbes150 - openvpn preloaded into this OE build would be an excellent enhancement, as many of us use VPN with OE. I am told the official builds all have openvpn built in.

The specific folder that I am told that the executable (not sure what this would be within a kodi addon script) needs to be in /usr/sbin. Its not. Winscp continually stopped working when I tried to search through the build, so I gave up.

Have a look at this thread and see if it offers any help.

If I understand balbes150 correctly, its in 6.95.3, so I will try that build and see if it works.I believe that if life gives you lemons, you should make lemonade... And try to find somebody whose life has given them vodka, and have a party.
