Still unstable mx player quit on 30/130min movie HW and video hangs after 10min HW+, which player You use? maybe mx is crap?
    Heat problem maybe?

No way... I tried everything... I have on rk chip (and two geil mems) copper heatpipe and one fan with 5-12V ragulation, even on 12V (chip almost cold) antutu ends with 17k ... when I play a movie I set 300-1920Mhz ondemandx and mxp quits like I sad in previous post.

      Edit:
A moment ago I tested my mk802iv with a air turbine from radeon hd4780 12V... mk almost froze but nothing changed (17k in antutu).

Maybe tomorrow I will recieve wattmeter and I check power comsumption.

        watmeter

        Hi,

after wat comsumpton tests I have bad results:

        on cpu&mem test : max 15,8W
        on 2d test: max 10W
        on 3d test: max 10,8W

now we have enough data to say: power adapter is ok, probably something with device... anyone can confirm my wat tests? Now with 20W PS in antutu I have: CPU 9290 (very good), GPU 3935 (very very bad), RAM 3138 (bad), I/O 892 (good) tested on 1920MHz (performence) 1280x672. Is some posibility that I have other revision of main unit (CPU with GPU)? How we can see that CPU is OK but GPU is not good (1500 points less). Please answer, regards!

My mk802iv, no matter what power adapter I use, it won't run antutu benchmark as it did when I first flashed sam's extreme overclocked 720p kernel and using the stock power adapter, setting cpu to 1920MHz min and maz frenquency and governor performance, the top score I got was 19177. I'm still using the same rom and kernel combination now and I've tried 5v 3amp and 5v 4amp power adapters, but antutu benchmark will crash / force close or reboot the device, it's not an heat problem either, cpu almost never gets hot, I'm using a 6x6cm fan so send cold air inside the case and 2 3x3cm fans to pull hot air out. So either the problem is antutu itself or there's something wrong with my device...

This config is not good, try with 1800min and 1920max.

When I set 800-1600Mhz interactive then MX Player run stable even 2h 1080 mkv movie!

Remember that not all chips can overclock the same. All must get 1,8GHz more than this is a question of luck.

Hi BrunoNRG do you want to try using the kernel that I use. The clocks are slightly lower but it is still faster than the 1.8ghz ram 1400mhz and it as proved itsself to be very stable

                  Can I try this kernel?

No good, problem remains, I've tried many governor and max. / min. frequency combinations (also reflashed rom and kernel), the device only gets stable if I don't go higher than 1416MHz on maximum cpu frequency. What confuses me is that when I first flashed the rom + extreme overclocked kernel + power supply I currently use, everything worked perfectly, it's like the cpu is worn out or something...

sorry it as took me a while but I had to wait for my computer to finish something before I could boot it to linux

                          Thanks Sam

Unfortunately, after uninstalling SetCPU to prevent any conflict between the app an the new kernel, flashing your kernel and trying antutu, the device just reboots itself as soon as the benchmark reaches 1%... I find it a bit hard but, is there any possibility that I somehow fried the cpu and now it only supports 1416MHz has it's highest frequency?

well it is possible. Have a look at this http://www.anandtech.com/show/2468/6 but I have been running mine for 24 hours seven days a week and I have not got any problems, maybe I should remove the extreme overclocking kernels just to be safe

I've been running mine 24/7 for over a week on 1.9ghz BUT I left the CPU scaling down to the lowest frequency and not maxed out all the time. Perhaps that was the problem ??

I cannot edit the first post so I will delete them from the file hosting. What I do not understand is the extreme overclock has had nearly 800 downloads, I would have thought out of all of those there would have been some people that would have posted with the same problem, or maybe the odds are just 800/1 of encountering this problem

Edit: BrunoNRG have you tried plugging a power supply directly into the stick without any fans and with just a mouse, and then running a test, or if you go back to the stock rom is everything ok
