This link address for the ROM
So do you have the S400 without the dot, green dot or red one? Did you have small shutter before?
(The seller send me my S400 on 16 of July I receive it about one month later)

Use a fan if you are hesitant to pop the shell and directly adhere chip sinks.

It happens to work as a computer repair technician, the fact that I don't want to open the casing has nothing to do with hesitation or anything. I can put some push-pull fans and make it work even from it's power source itself ..just put a microusb adapter male-female and get the power to two small 30-60mm fans or smaller and stick them on top rear of the stick. If you want to get crazy take an old cpu fan(we've got a bunch of these) ..the ones with the old SLOT1 cpus, huge copper heatsink with double fans and it would be cold as ice.
I won't go further putting water on it as it would be lame :P, I'll keep my water for just my cpu.
P.S. I don't mind having tubes outside my computer with my one dual radiator and one single but I do mind having a compact usb stick look like hell (my hdmi connection to the tv is on the left side, it has another in the back but I already use that for another purpose).

I got mine in May this year and I 'think' it had a green dot on it, can't be sure, maybe none at all.
Opening these things up is very easy so have a butchers at which wifi chip it has, then you will know for sure.
YES... That's why I ended up on these forums, the stutter was driving me mad
But now it runs very fast and smooth... thanks to the Freaktab guru's

I'll remove it today if I find some time, I don't believe it will take me more than a couple of minutes(this small shutters make me feel the video has 18fps or something and yes of course I check it out, the tv can accept usb stick so I tried it there and was smooth as butter). I'll take pictures and post them, then maybe someone would know what to do :P (hopefully it won't end up like my first ever android device, an MID 7" Chinese android 2.2 device - screen stopped working(touch) and I just use it 2-3 times for less than 10 minutes each(unfortunately not a hardware issue as it would be easy to me to fix it) many rom tests but nothing helped. Oh well since then roms have been evolve and nowdays regular people release custom roms)
Anyway about the dots I'm saying again I've hear that it goes:
No sticker < Green dot sticker < Red dot sticker
(Older < Newer < Latest)

P.S. I even have the film which was on top of my stick to avoid scratches inside the box (yes I know, I'm a weird guy hahahahaha)

You have stock clocks mate? I'm hoping it won't have any shutter even if clocks are stock, O/C'ing it without cooling it seems stupid and as an overclocker(pc world) I'll avoid it, although after having custom rom I can try to see if two fans(push/pull) can do the trick.

Still, the way these things are advancing, ours will be obsolete by next year!
I've tried both stock and extreme overclock (which is my current kernel) and it is smooth as silk with both.
I have put it in a small metal box with two 5V fans linked to the internal supply and vented at the opposite side through aluminium mesh. You can feel the warm air after it's been running for an hour or so.
Two aerials on the case (BT & WiFi) although I don't use BT at the moment.
I also use a 1TB external mini drive which draws it's power from the box as well.

I open the stick and I took a picture.
Sorry for the image blur but I've got a telezoom lenses so it's a bit difficult to capture at close range(you can see most of the chips quite clearly, auto focus failed me so I had to manual focus to get results)
Just to help you out as I see that the uploaded image is not in it's original size, I'll read you what I see.
Ram chip, 2x GEIL 1318 512X8DDR4 HL 1316(and another two on the other side burried under that flat big heatsink which covers almost all the surface), the flash chip is a SKhynix H27UCG8T2BTR BC , 315AA M22K0158OH, the chip on the left AP6210 T0D4005 1318, the chip on he button ITE IT66121FN 1316-BXG AG0X8A
The board has a date: 2013-05-23 and a code: HTC-T010-V2
In the front(where cpu is located there is another chip which has written ACTIVE 8846QM CD173
