I might have a solution to your kodi button. I have an app on kb2 that can Map buttons but have to see how it works

I just tried this app "Multilanguage Keymap Redefiner" and it works. I mapped KODI and several other buttons successfully but app needs to be kept running in the background. I was thinking of a way to actually learn what app does in background so that i could possible create a kl file accordingly. I have attached a screenshot on how it looks in the app i seem to understand what its doing in the background for all other keys except kodi

i tried changing

key 390 MEDIA_PLAY_PAUSE
key 122 MEDIA_REWIND
key 123 MEDIA_FAST_FORWARD

All the above worked
For KODI i tried key 394 KODI just like in stock rom. it didn't work infact none of the keys in remote work when i add this line

Also any idea when there will be a fix for Power button deep sleep issue ?

yes this works on Nexbox A5 2/16.

The only issues are as follows:

1. Initially your stock IR remote won't work and you'll have to replace remote.conf file at this location "system\etc" once the rom is installed. remote.conf for nexbox a5 is provided at "system\remote\nexboxa5" this will partially fix the remote now as home button won't work until you remap key 102 HOME to key 172 HOME in Vendor_0001_Product_0001.kl file
2. The "KODI" & "CloudTV" button on the remote also doesn't work. I tried remapping it but doesn't work as of yet.
3. The power button puts the box to deep sleep and there is no way to wake up the box except unplugging and plugging the power back in. not sure when that will be fixed

Overall this rom is better than stock rom pretty smooth no bloatware

Was there any issue with brightness on theis rom installed on a A5

Hi Prahjister,

After tested the Franken firmware, I found an issue related with backing up through TWRP.

After backup, and when try to restore found that the system partition always shows problems in restoring,

The other two partitions, (Boot and Data), restores without any problems, only the system partition shows this issue and always stop with the infamous error: "extractTarFork() process ended with ERROR=255"

I also tried replicate this situation with other Roms, (Stock, and Stock-rooted), without any problems, all of them restored successfully !

Only with the Franken rom this issue appears...

To avoid any possible doubts, I repeated this process with two different roms, (Franken and Stock Rom), for ten consecutive times, and always with the same results:

1 - Stock ROM restored always all partitions successfully.

2 - Franken ROM only restored DATA and BOOT partitions successfully, but the system partition always failed to restore, showing every time the same error: "extractTarFork() process ended with ERROR=255"

I would like to know if you or somebody else has the same problem.

It seems that the Franken ROM system partition shows some kind of problem.

Can you please have a look on it ?

Go to Settings, More Settings look for the Globe Icon, Then the first row is the Language

at every reboot the language is back to the last language in the list of languages

If you have a Nexbox A5 look at post 705 about remote issue
Get a 20 dollar or less dollar air mouse .. Its the best money you ever spent

i wrote that my problem with remote is to turn ON device and, as is written in post 705, this is impossibile with this rom, while it is possible to turn device OFF.
as written in the previous message that you answered, i have a nexbox A95X but same with the remote problem.

Not that I'm aware of.. Maybe someone else can answer
