I'm due to receive this box in the next few days.
If it has old firmware on it, which it probably will. Which way is best to update to recent firmware?
Do I need to Install all the previous versions first?
Or can I just install the current version?

Any help/ advice is appreciated.

Just go to system update and download / installed the latest firmware which is the "T95ZP0007". Infact there is no other but only the latest firmware you see, when you go to the system update of the box.

This box is very buggy. Kodi crashes when exploring the menu's. sometimes the signals go in/out. I read many forums and it seems like any/all boxes with the Amlogic S912 hardware is rubbish. will never ever buy again. Hence I was trying to find a way to flash openElec or LibreElec. Unfortunatley, this is is not possible for any of the Amlogic S912 boxes.

If ur using Kodi Jarvis 16.1 I recommend disabling Amcodec acceleration within kodi settings. This will stop kodi from crashing. When stable release of Krypton is released Amcodec will work.
If that doesn't work, but it should. Then I would do a fresh install of kodi.

First thing I always do when receiving new device is delete kodi and re install fresh. 👍

By doing some experiments with Kodi I have damaged and lost the app with the related add-ons.
Is the procedure described above reinstalling the full-image of the box with the full set of apps and returning the box to the state it comes from the shop?

I have some problems with the 4k 60hz resolution on my lg 4k tv. After a while (can be one hour or more) it starts flickering and 30sec later my tv loses the signal with the box.
After a reboot of the t95z box everything is normal. I don't have this problem with fullhd.
