Is there any way to implement the power suspend function of a nexbox into this rather than the power button just powering off?

Yes there is. I tested one with this function but i dont remember wich one was.

I took the Xannytech rom you modified the uboot in and just put my 3 uboot files in instead and that rom has the suspend function or hold power for a power menu exactly as I wanted. For some reason the original Xannytech one didn't do it and yours does if there's something else you modified. It's doing exactly what I want now for some reason

Do not mess too much with uboot and bootloader, please... and if just changing uboot and bootloader works, it's easier for me, but anyway this will not solve some driver problem, there are three version of nexbox with different hardware if i do not recall wrong, and manufacturer indeed provide three different firmwares.

Yeah I don't need to mess around too much your rom is already perfect, all the rest choose the wrong framerate on auto on my 4k TV. Just had the one problem booting with the remote on my x96 since the firmware is made for minis8ii and the remote is different is all. I replaced the remote.conf too.

The rom seems to work really well. I'm actually waiting on an airmouse remote to get here but I still want to have the remote working

Recovery button also still doesn't boot but that's not too important I can use reboot recovery if I need it that much.

I ordered a mini m8sii last week out of curiosity ! I'm a Rpi user and this is going to be my first experience with Android TV, I see i am going to have to do alot more researching

First off thanks, I've spent the last few days reading up on this box bugs, hdmi range, green screen, HDD rw problems, remote problems. So I've already made up when the box comes your Rom is going to get flashed !!

I have one question, I know this rom is based on the mini m8sii but would you recommend me to install TWRP first on the "factory sent" stock rom and make a full "nandroid" backup (as you called it) just so at least I will always have to original drivers and all the lib files etc?
Or is this really not necessary ?

Thanks again I'll sort you out a beer once I'm up and running as it seems forums like this really are worth their weight in gold when it comes to these cheap boxes

Xannytech ROM is best for amlogic s905x devices ,no need for backup stock rom (mini m8s ii)...

i returned to this thread after a month.
Is there a way that someone can say if you have uploaded a newer version of your rom?
I cannot find a way except to download the file and see the timestamps in the zip and compre them with the ones i have from my previous download.

Is there any easier way? (e.g. maybe you should write in first post an increasing numbered version of your mod)

Simply read two or three pages and you'll found there are just some beta 4 out, and that i'm really busy for my real work. If you're on stable and do not need more, no problem, if you would like to test beta use search function
just few weeks and i will stay more focused on forums.

It's means nexbox power on button will work in ur modded Rom. its only for nexbox users only?

If i rember well just nexbox user had problem with power on so... yes just for nexbox.
