I just did and I must admit that it seems like nothing change. For me it doesn't wakeup permanently after few minutes (I didn't have time to test longer period of time) but it doesn't seem to fully suspend either. It is similar as I had before with wasser's kernel from 19th September. I think that debug messages about inability to suspend USB hub might be associated with connected specific external USB devices.
Now after triggering suspend mode I have flood in dmesg like this in the loop:

problem with usb hub, it seems to me, after goes "sleep" the K-R 42 is automatically turned on after a certain time(10SEC~1 MIN) with does not work with usb ports , if it then disable with the IR remote it normally goes into "sleep" , but does not working usb ports

hi, i have usb sound card (creative soundblaster x-fi 5.1 surround) and although
it somehow works with the 5.1 sound (i am using only analog output directly to my sound system) the quality is terribly - lots of crackling, even out of xbmc (in the general menu, etc).

is that a kernel related issue?

P.s If I go on "just xbmc" and wasser release the new patched kernel for 2.0.4 it will be possible to flash on "justxbmc" this kernel?

Gormar,I tried to switch the k-r42 in "sleep" without usb connected units using ir remote control, all the same k-r42 also turns on automatically after a certain time

I think the problem is with the switch usb hub in the "sleep"

It is strange but for me it has different behavior. But it might be associated with a fact that I don't use WiFi therefor it is disabled in settings and in my case even power is cut off from RLT8188 (GPIO 256 set to 0 default is 1) which is also connected to internal USB HUB.

I think that the based on stock firmware 1.2.0 hfw usb hub does not go away in a "sleep", which lowed the opportunity to turn on k-r42 using "air mouse" through usb , but usb disk dont "spin down"

I would like to in the "sleep mode" usb worked for "air mouse", but the usb disk "spin down"

Hi Gormar, It seems to me that all worked internal usb hub is not necessary to send "sleep", just need to somehow stop the usb disk during idle
I think if not disable usb hub and then k-r42 will not come automatically from the "sleep", so it was on 1.2.0 hfw

Lewy,Why usb hdd drives spinning all the time, not spindown at a time when working kr 42 ?

Can something like a "hdparm" to set off the disk during idle time in the ON state k-r42?

After flashed 2.04 everything works fine for my box (similar to CX-921) but remote control unit can't use anymore. Please help or advise me what to do. What drivers or files do I need to put/copy from original rom?

How do i know if i switched to the 720p or the 1080p Kernel in the settings of the latest 2.0.4 ?

I'm guessing if the bootimage is smaller im using the 1080p Kernel ? Correct ?
