    I'm not aware about the new revision. could you please add more infos about this ?
    It will help me alot to add support for this hardware

      i just turn on usb debugging on my new k-42, and then go to my computer to try to install the drivers.

      But....the k-42 device don't power on anymore....? something's wrong ?

      And by the way, before i enable usb debugging, i try to install the drivers on windows 8, but it keeps saying "drivers are not compatible with your material for x64 blablabla". But my system is x64 and I use the correct one....So....what's wrong ?

      well for now, i can do nothing because it does not power on anymore....

      anyone has an idea ? charger is dead ????

      i received a new k-r42 from geekbuying, but i can't install drivers.
      When i plugged in my computer and press the flash button, it says that something goes wrong with the peripherals. So i go to the peripheral manager and click on the yellow one (with problem) and choose update the drivers.

      But here, i choose the good drivers (in the good folder, for my OS (windows 8.1 64bits) but it always says "it seems there is no drivers for your os, please be sure to choose the right one for your system....x64). But this is what I choose !!!!!.

      I also try to restart and disable drivers signature, but it does nothing....(and i don't have the warning when i do that, that tells me that drivers signatures is disabled....!!!!)

      So is there something wrong ?
      is this possible that my usb cable is just to charge and has no other capabilities ? (like communicate with the device ?) (but in this case, when i plug in and press the button for flash, it should not find anything...)

      so...i'm stuck !

      could someone help ?

      sorry for my english but i'm french....so i try to explain as the best as I could !!!!

          Hi wasser! I'm glad to see your interest about issue with V2.1 new revision of CS918(w/o BT).
          What detailed information would you like to be provided with? Will it be enough if I make some pictures of my V2.1 board or write the list of onboard chips? I can try also to extract kernel.img from stock firmware or provide you with the link where you can download full stock firmware image from. Please tell all you need and I'll do all my best so as to help you to help us.

            @Cocofish&digger. Do not distract developers with strange questions. You imply that there should be specific kernel driver for RTL8201F but in fact there is no need for it. It is supported by Generic PHY driver. This IC isn't similar to RTL8188EU(S) which provide WiFi networking and is connected to USB. RTL8201F is just one part of Ethernet LAN network solution called PHYceiver and the rest (MAC layer) is incorporated into RK3188 CPU itself and is called "k29 VMAC" and it is supported in wasser's kernels for K-R42 from the beggining.

            Besides. RTL8201F was/is present on previous (2.0) version of our boards (TN-BX09). The main difference between V2.0 from 08/05/2013 and V2.1 dated 31/05/2013 is Hynix NAND flash in exchange for TOSHIBA and also Ethernet port galvanic separator (IMG M1206IG 1330 for IMG M1201IG 1246). And I'm not completely shure if RAM chips are similar because on these from V2.0 there is no "SK" before Hynix logo but it might have been changed by Hynix factory in the meantime or one of them is a counterfeit .

              As far as I know current Realtek driver isn't compatible with Windows 8. Maybe in the future will be but I wouldn't count that will be soon.

                It is only one line which in fact doesn't solve anything but prevent kernel from going into deeper sleep states.
                echo "freezer" > /sys/power/pm_test.

                As to your last kernel for K-R42 there is one clearly visible improvement: working Suspend LED. Good job.
                But I'm affraid that there is more work to be done because after suspend RK1000-S is probably disconnected and sound doesn't work anymore. At least on my device.

                    Hi Gormar,
                    Thank you very much for sharing your deep knowledges with us newbies
                    In any case I was not going to confuse anybody here and distract Dear wasser especially.
                    I'm the member of Russian speaking forum 4PDA, and I was based on information from many peolple (with CS918 2.1.revision board with heatsink) who had their LAN out of range after flashing lewy HFW ROM. I don't know why, but it's a fact. All of them have wifi, but don't have LAN.
                    I received my device few days ago and wasn't able to flash HFW so far, but I can't imagine any reason for people to tell lie about their problem with LAN in this situation.
                    Probably, there are some another things we don't know about?.
                    If you have some new ideas, please share them with us.
                    Have you heard anything about 3188T?

                      @digger. Okey. Now I understand that you was only trying to help just like me . In that case I'm so sorry for more than one reason. This situation with LAN is actualy my fault because I convinced wasser to fix random LAN MAC address by setting CONFIG_ETH_MAC_FROM_WIFI_MAC and this had some unforseen consequences. For unknown to me reason now kernel overwrites with zeroes random MAC address and if someone doesn't take action to set valid MAC "by hand" then Ethernet wouldn't work.
                      There are two solution:
                      1. Set MAC address in script file and put it into /etc/init.d directory.
                      Code:
                      #!/system/bin/sh
                      ip link set eth0 address 02:03:05:07:34:2a
                      2. Create wlan_mac file containing MAC address and place it into /data/misc/wifi/ directory.

                            USB Keyboard/Mouse not working

                            Hi. Thank in advance their assistance.

                            After upgrading my CS918 to version 2.03 or 2.04 I can not connect my peripherals and make them work. With version 1.20_FINAL if I can make it work without problems. Can you help me solve the problem? I do not use USB OTG standard USB only.

                            My English is very basic and I is difficult to find the answer through the forum.

                            Thank you very much for your patience and congratulations for the work.

                                As almost all of us . TN-BX09 V2.0 was produced only in May and it is probably sold out.

                                If someone is realy interested which version he/she owns then you can check FlashID and determine if NAND manufacturer is Toshiba (V2.0) or rather Hynix (V2.1). You don't have to disassemble your box .
                                To do so open Terminal from Settings and type (paste):
                                Code:
                                su
                                dmesg | grep -i "No.1 FLASH"
                                dmesg | grep -i "No.1 FLASH" | busybox sed -e 's/<[0-9]>//' -e 's/\[[. 0-9]*\]//' -e 's/ No.1 FLASH INFO://' -e 's/\(..\)\( ..\)\( ..\)\( ..\)\( ..\)/\1/'
                                then check first hexadecymal number:
                                No.1 FLASH INFO:ad de 94 eb 74
                                ad = Hynix => V2.1
                                No.1 FLASH INFO:98 de 84 93 72
                                98 = Toshiba => V2.0
                                2c = Micron => does not apply for now
