Nullkeyboard is a tip for those using an external keyboard. It hides the onscreen keyboard,
So bluetooth is working? I use it to connect to my soundbar and bluetooth earphones.

      Thanks for the info!

Hulu plus app is not working with the device, but the remote is working OK.

Some application doesn't work with Ethernet (LAN)

It is a feature not an error. Just kidding.

For real. It is sad that some developers didn't forseen possibility of other connection metod than WiFi or mobile (2/3/4G). In theirs applications they use ConnectivityManager to check which networks are available on current device but they only settle for these mentioned earlier.

As far as I know there is some method to "spoof" WiFi connection without realy having one but I lost track of that solution.

              Hi Gormar,

Thanks for the info! If you happen to remember where you found this solution, that would be great! WiFi is less stable overhere (4m from router).

For example, when playing gameloft games, in order to play online you need wifi... Which i do not have. Anyone have any knowledge on this?

So, if Wireless Tether, or another tether app, can connect to Ethernet then it might route packets so WiFi apps can see them. Maybe.

P.s. usb hub I do not use ,now i use firmware 2.0.4 ,
But 2.0.1 and 2.0.2 and 2.0.3 is still the same problem with the output from "sleep" as 2.0.4 ,
turning on k-r42 from "sleep" is only possible with stock ir remote control or with a set of buttons on the k-r42
Sometimes it freezes after the release of "sleep", helps to reboot
it seems a bug in kernel. I'm working on a fix for the suspend/resume with usb.

                        Hello Wasser..

                        Hello Wasser..

I have been using the new kernels for the T-r42 player ...

I think the sleep mode is still on ... If I leave the player On ...over night and
check it in the morning it has turned off ...

Maybe once You have the sleep/suspend/resume bug fixed ...
You can add it to the T-r42 Kernel and Check the Sleep Mode ...

Thanks for all of Your Hard work ...

it's firmware setting, as i know you can configure it in settings.

does your t-r42 (usb keyboard, hdd) work correcty after wake up ? if yes, it's expected bahavor.

                            Wasser,

There is only one setting for sleep and it is do not sleep while charging ...??

Is That What You are Talking about ...

I am sorry to be this way ... But I must be missing Something ...

When I use the Remote to Turn it off it is off ... I have to use the Button on the player
to Turn it back on ...

The IR remote and the USB remote do nothing .... Once I turn if off ...

I did not say anything because You said You where working one the sleep / resume ...

I hope this answers Your Question ...

On 1.2.0 firmware Settings > Install XBMC link does nothing on my K-R42. Could you please post a link to the site that hosts latest stable XBMC version? I'm currently using August2013 version downloaded from Minix site, but some functionality is not fully working (e.g. fast forward / rewind on IceFilms).

Suspend LED in HFW > 1.2.0

Setting "Stay awake" in Developer Options should do the trick.

As for "turning off". Pressing Power button on remote control triggers suspend state for 100% percent. But you probably encountered two errors with custom kernels for RK3188.
First. There is a bug which cause problems with build-in USB HUB which sometime leeds to device hang.
Second. In leaked RK3188 kernel source there is no code which will drive Suspend LED. It probably needs porting "Platform GPIO Leds" from RK30 board and configuring kernel to incorporate LED trigers especialy one called "suspend".

One of funny quirks with these custom kernels is that the Power LED is driven by RK29 LCD backlight driver. Therefor if device is entering suspend mode then backlight is disabled and so Power LED. But it is rather good behavior and even allows altering Power LED brightnes from user space because that is connected to PWM GPIO.
                                Disabling Power LED: cat "0" > /sys/devices/platform/rk29_backlight/backlight/rk28_bl/brightness

If you realy need to power on Suspend LED then you can enable it "manualy" before entering suspend state . To do so you will need "gpio" tool. I can upload it later. Copy both files to /data directory and then use Terminal Emulator to enter these commands:
                                Code:
                                su
                                cd /data
                                /system/bin/busybox insmod user-gpio-drv.ko
                                ./gpio set 284 0
Then it can go to sleep without doubts .

                                GPIO tool for RK3188 3.0.36+ kernels: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B_z6...p=docslist_api
I do not remember where I did found it exactly by anyone can check it by self .
