          Hey lewy20041, seems good... Thanks!
Ethernet, wifi, analog audio all good...

I've noticed the power button on screen kills power quickly but the device seems to restart itself without touching it or its remote, seems my satellite remote wakes it, but then there's no response from using the supplied IR remote... Odd.
Would be nice if the on screen power button gave shutdown options like you get when pressing physical power button.

Other thing is google play music now plays the first track AND a couple of seconds of the second track before going silent... So SOMETHING has made a difference!

          Thanks dor the work guys!

            Hey again!
Still using v1.2 and i've noticed that after a while when i play HD films on XBMC (streaming) it's starts to skip frames.
does anyone know how to solve this issue? it's really bothers me
            Thanks

are u using an external player ?

yesterday i ran a classic movie, saving private ryan on 1080p rip 10 Gb movie on the box through MX Player Pro and it ran alright. but i noticed that sometimes it had frameskipping. 720p movies run fine without any hassle. it has problems on playing parts where there is alot of action on the screen, lets say watersplashes (Scene in the boats on Saving Private Ryan where they enter the beach)

playing the movies from a NAS through CIFS mount so it thinks the movies are on SDCard, and speedtest on lan is +60 Mbit (Wired) wireless gives me a average of 35 / 40 Mbps (But that is variable)

XBMC Player itself isnt the best around i noticed, because of HW Acceleration

I'm using the 1.2.1 Rom. (downloaded yesterday) Great rom. Lewy, you are a genius.

I have a few small issues

Keep getting the message: "Unfortunatly the process android.process.media has stopped". Happens random.

Shutdown is not working as expected. When I use the buttom in the statusbar. The device is instantly down. Blue light on button is off and I have to power it off to be able to start the device.

So you say the problem is with the XBMC and not the device.....
setting external player would fix (or play it better) then XBMC player?

And Thanks for the explanation !

Yes the problem is the player from XBMC, you could try to run the same movie in a player like MX Player and if that works for you, you could config XBMC to use an external player. thats how i do it and it works fine

the internal player has issues with hardware acceleration

I have tested n+1 versions of XBMC and the best one, for me, is the XAF build of v12.1. I use it with external player (MX Player Pro) support enabled in the playercorefactory.xml configuration file. The Gotham nightlies also support external players, IIRC.

I have had mixed success with the various libstagefright test builds using the internal player but, as noted above, hw acceleration in the android builds is still not very stable. YMMV, as always.

some pros and cons of 1.2.1

just tried 1.2.1, i think 1.2.0 is actually better (less serious bug)

                        as lewy20041 mentioned,

1, no webcam audio, no usb audio the sound input/output cant even detect usb sound card device

                        2. the original IR remote doesnt work !

                        3. if i choose shutdown, it will wake up again immediately AND also all the connected usb keyboard, air mouse don't work after wake up

                        4. will pop up "xxxapplication got no response, wait or kill?" box just after restore

                        5. it seems that there is still no way to "dts/ac3 passthrough" (or i dont know how to setup mx player....??)please correct and teach me if I m wrong.

                        =======

However, the screenshot and autohide are really two great functions, keep it up!!

One question, it there any method to "upgrade" the firmware and keep old data rather than "restore" every single time, and need to reinstall all the apps and settings after restore????

hope this rom will be better and has more integration of function from other models of droid tv
                        Thanks,

you have to apply the dts patch in the rom package. Dolby works but not dts
