So I tried the Bluetooth and When I check it , it enables and Tells me That there are No Bluetooth Devices Found ... As I do NOT have a Bluetooth Device it looks Like the Bluetooth Option is Now Working but not the Wifi ...

I did a Dmesg and lsmod with just wired Ethernet ... the Output text files start with nxxx.txt and then I disabled the Wired Ethernet and Enabled the Bluetooth and Did a lsmod and dmesg they start with mxxx.txt ...

All zipped up and ready to download from this link

Please let me know what Else I can do ...

Wait a moment because this kernel for T-R42 (K-R42 with BT) is Work in Progress. You should only consider that option if you flashed any of HFW by Lewy20041.
I recommend this kernel: http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...l=1#post102256 where LAN is operational. Other has more debuging options enabled.

And if you have HFW version 2.0.3 or newer then flashing new kernel is as easy as typing on keyboard .
Open Terminal Emulator form Settings menu then navigate to directory where you placed unpacked kernel image and finally execute command:
      flash_image kernel kernel-091013.img

        Hello Wasser,

I installed the NEW kernel ... The System Did NOT want to reboot ...
I had to Reboot it three times and I seems To be working ...
I was Able to Disable the Wired EtherNet and Enable and Connect with the Wifi ..
My First Try Hung the Player ... So I rebooted it and The Second Time I was able to connect ...
The Wifi Looks Fine on the Player Display ... I can NOT set the Wifi Player Name using The Included
Software it just Hangs ... It Does NOT seem to Be able to See any Devices ...
This is In software for Wifi that comes with player ...
So I tried the ES File Explorer ...
I was Able to Use ES File Explorer and Mount a Share off My Nas and Tested Part of a Movie it Played ...

I exited ES Explorer and Connect to the Wifi With ADB (From My PC) and it seemed to connect ok but It just Stopped Working after I issues my second or third command ... Very strange ...

So, I check the Player Display and it thinks it is still connected ...

I did a Dmesg and lsmod dump and Have uploaded the results to the below link:

Please let me know if I can Do Any thing Else ...

          Hello Wasser,

I know this can NOT be easy working on this without the hardware and I wanted to Thank You ... for all of Your help ...

I was also looking at the settings for the Kernel can You change the
Performance Settings to Interactive and ROW This will allow the Player to Boot
Quicker ... As they only get set after the reboot with the performance tool ...

          Thanks In Advance ....

                  Hi Gormar,

Thanks for the info. I was too excited for lewy20041's HFW and didn't pay attention. I flashed his HFW into my T-R42 device and now stuck with no ethernet and wifi. I always thought I bought the K-R42 model but didn't realize with Bluetooth it modeled as T-R42 and seems to be different with regard to FW. It looks like a HFW for the T-R42 devices is being worked on and hopefully it is true and can't wait for it. I have been looking all over places for a stock FW for the T-R42 to at least get back running the stock FW while waiting for the HFW but no ones have posted yet.

                  Thanks.

the problem is we don't have kernel working on t-r42. I have tried to get kernel working since yesterday, but the process will take time due lacking the hardware, i hope we will have customer-firmware soon for t-r42.

Thanks wasser. I really appreciated your work and I know it is tough when you don't have the device to test it out.

                            Hello Wasser,

I loaded the new Kernel and it works but it takes a very long time to boot ...
                            But it does Boot ...

The Wifi is working and I check to see and it seems to be working correctly ... now

I plugged Back In my K-r42 and Tested the Wifi with the Lewy's Firmware 2.0.4 I have loaded.
It does not work with the Wifi Program included either ... Both act the same way nothing
Comes Back ... I believe this program Worked correctly on the stock firmware ...
SO both 2.0.4 wifi and this NEW kernel do NOT work With the Wifi Program ...

When I go to the Settings Page and Look at the Signal Strength for Wifi Under About Status
it says Signal Strength is : 2147483647 dBm 255 asu ... Seems Big to me ???

The Kernel you posted is 1080 p only and the Icons are very small tried setting them back to 720p but it does not work for me ... the 2.0.4 firmware seems to work fine (big icons) for me with the 1080 or 720 p output selectable and work fine...
That really has nothing to do with this ... But I thought It might be why it seems to take sooooo
                            Long to boot up ...

The Wifi Seems to Be faster than the Wifi on the K-r42 ... strange but good ...
I will download a wifi test program later and see it that is really the case or just something
that seems faster ... as I only see what speed seems to be ...

Once I get the Wifi test results I will Post them ...

Thanks again for all the hard work ..
                            Here are the outputs

Link to Dmesg and Lsmod :

-39 dBm when Bluetooth is on ....
