I was able to finaly get my k-r42 to work stable and very good for over a week ,
Not a single crash , LAN , WIFI , all work fast and stable with max speed ,even at the same time.
Using your excelent justXBMXv4.apk all addons work stable and fast no errors , libtagefright works
100% perfect , I am able to play 720P and 1080P from MashUP addon smooth and easy.
found someone in the forum who maked a vendor*.rk file for the Mele F10 Pro remote I use that makes most buttons work in XBMC and all is really working nice.

Using the below combination, that I know is not ideal , I am very happy with the result, this is the "Frankendroid method"

I used RK3066 tools to un-pack the chinese rom and your 2.0.4 rom , and using rkbatchtool 1.37
I used all your firmware 2.0.4 parts , but instead just choosed the chinese BX09 KERNEL ,
(which I patched myself using the pearl tools with the SAM321 VSync Fix,
And the chinese BX09 RECOVERY image, which is similar by the way to the recovery image you have in the justXBMC 1.1.1 image, (the robot icon that does mounting and formating).

Those are the only images that are able to boot on my box and mount the NAND flash , I would have kept using justXBMC 1.1.1 but it was very unstable on my box with random reboots and crashes,and also LAN did not work.
Probably due to Kernel-Hardware incompatibilty , not due to firmware.

Please note I had to do it this way as after many test with mybox , only images that use that specific recovery image worked, if you need me to do any tests I am happy too help.

On a side note , I just uncheck libstage when I use some other addons in XBMC mostly "site Scapers"
that list videos with lower quality ,some videos on this sites crash when the libstagefright is enabled , it opens but you can only hear sound only for few seconds (no picture) and then XBMC hungs.
But that not big deal I uncheck before using them and check back when needed.

I wonder if there are updates to the libstagefright library ? and how can I just update that library
To the latest version without reflashing new image ?
from what I undestand its now part of the XBMC , so is there way to take it from the latest alpha/nightly versions or , is there another way ?

I would also like to know please how to make a complete backup of my box system (Like Ghost in windows). can I make like an Backup.IMG file that we use when flashing ?
Is it even possibale to make such backup that can I Reflash back if I would like to test future firmwares , without the need to reinstall and configure everything from zero when I want to go back
I got it in a stateI really like and that I would like to get back to fast.

It seems like you have the same exact model as me. I have all three same symptoms as you with the various roms .You can backup the image using the tool that comes with wassers 1.2.2 ROM .

I would hsare it no problem but I do not know how to do the backup ,
I am not running wasser I am runing HFW 2.0.4 , and even this don't use the recovery file that came with 2.0.4 that has CWM backup option , I user stock chinese recovery , I think there is a way to implement cwm to any recovery.img but this is beyond my skills .

Hey there,

I am using the final Version of this Rom. Pretty nice ! Two questions: my ethernet is not working wifi is working.

In the stock Rom there was an airplay APP where i could share photos and videos with. Is there a similar app ? I hope you know what i mean.

There could also be a Issue with your USB Web Cam ...
That Happen a lot to Lewy ... During Testing ...

Try Flashing Wasser's Firmware ...

Slow Wifi was not the unit, it was my router that had a hick up!:-)

Another thing though, the bluetooth doesn't seem work. I have a bluetooth keyboard
with a bluetooth dongle but with the dongle in and turning bluetooth on it switches itself off
after a couple of seconds?

Anyone else got it working?

Man BT dongles don't work. It's not a windows or unix based pc with loads of drivers ...

Does new version support new revision or it needs a new rivisioon kernel placed in HFW folder and then flashed?


Edit: ROM broken my KR42 - now RKbatchtool shows only blue rectanggle instead of green (can reflash old jusxbmc to repair).

I see you have changed boot ver to 1.34 - maybe it is a problem?
