Apps - Show system apps - Media Storage app, just disable it.
It can stop background services running that cause stutter and when external storage devices are connected.

    Google Play Store
Disable Ato update' for the Youtube app as soon as you use Google Play Store for the first time.
The included Youtube app doesn't have any ads, it's ad-free playback.
When auto update is not disabled it will install a Youtube app with ads.

MiXplorer has a lot more features and is a lot more lightweight to do everyday tasks.

    OTG USB Port
When connecting the device to a PC using a male to male USB cable connected to the OTG USB Port(the USB port next to the Micro-SD card slot) it can function as a storage device and you can see the files on your PC.
The OTG USB Port won't be able to function as a normal USB port to access a USB hard drive, in that case
    - Go to Settings - Micro USB - Connect to PC --> Just deselect this checkbox and everything should work normally

    On screen Software Keyboard

    NTMC

The latest version is posted in the Nagrace Market app

    To use auto frame-rate switching
    1. Make sure your HDMI resolution is set to 'auto' in Android Settings if you have that option
    2. NTMC - System - Video - Playback - 'Adjust Display refresh rate'
This option switches the screen resolution to the same one the current playing video is encoded at for the best and smoothest video playback.
The tv screen will flash for a second or 2 before each video is played to adjust the resolution and frame-rate correctly.
With this setting disabled, videos will play immediately and your tv screen won't flash but everything will play back at 1080p@60hz or 720p@60hz depending on what your default resolution is set at.
Some videos like 23.976hz, 24hz, 25hz won't play as smooth as with the setting turned on.
    3. Pause during refresh rate change - It can be adjusted between 1-11 seconds.
Each user has different audio equipment and media files so most users will use a different time here what works best for them to have audio/video in sync.

    NTMC menu
    - Accelerate VP9 - RK3368 doesn't have support for this so this setting can stay enabled or disabled as it won't make a difference
    - Accelerate Mpeg1/2 - If you have problems with mpeg1/2 video playback you can disable this setting to see if it works better. Recommended to keep it enabled.

    External Player support
Press the letter 'c' on an airmouse or keyboard to choose RKVideoPlayer or MXPlayer instead to play a video with.

Hi Mo123! Thanks for your great work! Unfortunately, I have the same issues here as with other MM firmwares on my box. As you know, one of the main problems for most of 3368 devices was YT video stuttering on 5.1 which was replaced with sound and video freezing on MM. You were the only one who managed to completely fix stuttering on Lollipop so maybe you could apply some fixes so that youtiube playback would become as smooth as on your latest version of 5.1 firmware? Thanks!

.... this is the first MM firmware that runs on my generic Z4. Running some tests, I'll report back.

How long do you play a video to see that?
A test video name on Youtube with the problem?

Please do some read/write speed tests
              https://play.google.com/store/apps/d....a1dev.sdbench
              https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...isk.speed.test

For a solution you can try this

In folder mount app after rooting, mount the Youtube folder to a fast USB flash drive or Micro-SD card.
The folder will be something like this - /storage/emulated/0/Android/data/com.google.android.youtube/cache/exo
Just copy the correct folder name path by searching for the folder in MiXplorer.
              https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...evasque.fmount

I will test different Youtube apps 32-bit also since the included one is 64-bit and some other optimizations that might help to solve the problem a different way.

Thank you MO, I just installed your new rom on my Tronsmart R68 (the one without gigabit Ethernet). As I always do, I swapped my resource and kernel imgs, so my Ethernet and remote will work on different roms. This time, even using my own kernel and resource, I still do not have Ethernet and my remote does not work. The good news, I used my 5ghz wifi band on my router which is about 25 feet away, and it works great. Running speed test, it maxes my internet connection which is 90 Mbps down and almost 13 Mbps up, which is just fantastic.

                I will continue to test.
                MK818B, T428, ATV 1220, CS918S, TV01, S89H, R89, ADT-1, MK808B Plus, MINIX X8-H Plus, Tronsmart Orion R68

This firmware runs all cores simultaneously with a few changes. The process differs from LL because MM places tighter (or finer) system controls on the cpu. So far, so good.

These MM gpu drivers are nice!

                            For Youtube playback

You can try this folder in folder mount app to mount it to a clean MicroSD or USB storage.
                            /storage/emulated/0/Android/data/com.google.android.youtube/cache/exo

                            Also disable
Apps - Show system apps - Media Storage app, just disable it.
It can stop background services running that cause stutter and when external storage devices are connected.

                            Google Play Store
Disable auto update for the Youtube app.
The included Youtube app doesn't have any ads, it's ad-free playback.
When auto update is not disabled it will install a Youtube app with ads.

It should solve any Youtube problem.
I played Youtube for 2 hours and didn't have any video freeze or audio stop playing.

Maybe there is also a problem with non HPH and Ugoos devices that have weak/cheaper internal hardware that cause memory or write performance issues.

I don't think it's hardware related; my test device is about as generic as it gets and I don't have any stutter with your firmare even before tweaking cpu/ddr, etc.
