I'm sorry but it's the same, we know this is possible because on your old firmware Lollipop 1.6 it's worked.

Hi , I installed v 1.2 in my Zidoo x6 pro . It works perfectly . My main goal is to get Kodi v17 . But in "Adjust video Playback" when set to on start stop it does not work as the video start playing . In NTMC it is working fine . Also I can see only NTMC version 16.1 does it supposed to have 16.1.5 . What is 16.1.5 based on?

          It's very strange.
Users with SPDIF pass-through say everything works, but they probably only use DTS, AC3.
So it must just be HDMI pass-through with HD Audio(DTSHD, DTSHD MA, TrueHD) that give the noise?
The kernel is almost the same as the Lollipop one and it still doesn't work.
I will try one or two more things and then give up.

What happens when you play the HD Audio videos in 'Video' player instead of Kodi?
This will probably have no effect but try replacing /system/libffmpeg.so with file from here https://github.com/JamesLinEngineer/...brkffplayer.so
Must root from Accessibility Options first to get access to replace the file. Do it in MiXplorer file manager.

Can Wasser R68 MM firmware boot on your device?
Please test if HDMI pass-through is working correctly in that ROM also if possible.

If you check in Android Settings Apps, it will show 16.1.5 or in NTMC the date 22 Feb.
Every version has new changes from RKMC or other small changes.
Auto frame-rate switching doesn't work in Kodi 17.
That is why I asked in the FTMC thread if someone can help modify RK frequency switcher addon for Kodi so users can install the addon in Kodi 17 to make the auto frame-rate switching work in Kodi 17.
At the moment it is not working and some other changes are still needed.
It would work great if someone can just install an addon to have more control over auto frame-rate switching in any Kodi.
I hope someone will be able to fix the addon as it only works on RK3188 devices on Kitkat firmware at the moment.

There is NO current rockchip firmware (especially any that's anywhere up to date) that correctly implements HD IEC 61937 audio standards and it's due to RK itself.

As I posted earlier, even ones that initialize the sink correctly butcher video playback.

                Thanks for the reply .
Read your post on FTMC , did not know that there is an addon for Frame rate switching . I hope that some one fix it for RK3368 devices .
Keep up the good work I really appreciate your good work . Zidoo team has abandoned the idea for updating x6 pro . It is nice to see your ROM working in our devices.USB OTG does not work in that but I can live with that

                Regards

This might be out of topic .

No, but it will work in SPMC but that is based on Kodi 16.1

                          Same horrible noise.
libffmpeg.so doesn't work for DTS HD / DD T HD.
Wasser R68 MM Does not yet handle HD sound.

The Beelink February update is the only RK3368 build that has correctly functioning standards compliant HD audio, but it has very bad general performance and especially terrible video performance. I'm like a broken record, but chalk that up to RK's ridiculous RKCodec fantasy....

EDIT: just for info, I tried everything I could on my end to correct the performance/video playback issues while maintaining the IEC audio standards, I know exactly which files to modify/alter, but it was to no avail (you either get proper video playback or standards compliant audio but not both) with current sources. I stress, again, that contrary to what some might think, the January Lollipop sources outperform the existing MM SDK by quite a bit.

I HIGHLY doubt RK is ever going to offer a fully functional, high performing, standards compliant MM build. I was hopeful, but it just doesn't look good unless Nougat drops and saves the day.

Yup pretty much sums up my thoughts on rk route.
Many devices now mk902ii/Shield/Mk68 /Ugoos/neox5/minix5 (yes they still work lol) mk80 no it doesnt work lol.

... and we won't benefit much from Nougat if at all even if it hits RK3368 - because RK completely reworked its rendering engine to use the new MPP engine in RK3328 and such, and their Nougat SDK is tailored towards that and RKCodec - with mediacodec pretty much an after thought.

Doom and gloom, I know; but try if I could, no amount of sugar can put a glaze on this mess. . .
