He is ok, and making some new roms so dont worry.

We the QX1 users will have a good notice soon (I hope). I get a kernel that don't have problems to load and unload the 8189es.ko wifi module, inclusive in reboot, but it has a big trouble. If you reboot the stick with wifi on, the stick enters in a bootloop, so wifi must be disconnected before reboot and connected after reboot. I am automating the processes so soon (sorry no estimated time) we will have roms without the wifi on reboot problem. It is not a fix is a workaround that reset the sdio card before activate wifi, so some work is needed in the firmware to make it work. But al least we will not have the reboot problem with wifi!!!

Of course once I got a full working rom with this workaround I will share the kernel modification and the rom modifications needed, so anyone who want to make a custom rom for QX1 can use it.

I was looking deeper in Kernel code to try to solve kernel exception on reboot with wifi on, but no luck for now. Anyway I am trying to mod the Rom to got it.

Good luck with the challenge of new roms Bob and Leolas. I've just ordered a new power supply. Hopefully will stop the random freezes I get with the stock psu. I also have two minor issues. My wallpaper choice occasionally reverts back to the default that came with the rom. 1.4. The other, how to people operate their qx1 day to day? If I power mine off via on screen control, it turns back on after a few minutes. So I unplug it via the power cable on the qx1. I'm worried unplugging it everyday will eventually damage the port.

I've always had this problem. I live with it because I power mine from the usb ports on my TV. When I turn off my TV, the qx1 powers off too.

Just a thought about the powering off issue: if you power it of by clicking the power button in the action bar once, it will actually just go to sleep. This means that if you touch whatever you use to control your iMitio, you'll wake it up.

If you keep pressing the power button for several seconds, though, a power off menu should appear with three options: Sleep - Power Off - Reboot. Selecting 'Power Off' will power it off until CTRL-ALT-DEL is pressed on a connected keyboard (doesn't always work, seems to depend on keyboard/connection combination). Of course, a power cycle will also start the iMito up again.

I don't get the same behaviour with mine. If I click the power off bar with one short press I get a dialogue box This tablet will shutdown OK, cancel. If I do a long press nothing happens. Finless rom 1.4 720p kernel. I'm using a new psu 5.25v 2amp from "modmypi" advertised as being reliable strong power supply.

Hi leolas. I would like to try your 1.5a rom, forgive the noob question, but is there a way to make a backup of all my apps, settings and data before flashing the new rom? Otherwise it's a slight pain to start again from nothing. Maybe this has already been explained in the forum, you could point me to a guide?

Yes you can use cwm to make a backup with a exact mirror of your current rom, so if you want you can restore it in less than 5 minutes.

I suggest you install cwm and made a backup of your current rom.

You can too use some google play apps to save your apps and datas, like ROM Toolbox Little or PRO; tinanium backup, etc...

New to the forum. Downloaded and flashed this rom last night. Love the startup screen and the rom seems to run pretty smooth...except when I open hbogo it locked up. Netflix looks good and hd video streaming from an external hard drive looks good. One feature I'd like to see is an option to remove native keyboard from the screen for those of us with wireless qwerty devices. Keep up the good work!
