Ok i did the build.prop thing but now i noticed i have the same wifi issue as you

Fixed WiFi and SD Card mounting problems

I managed to fix my WiFi and SD mounting issues. It seems they were just a result of a bad flash, in my case this may been related to my ongoing testing with TWRP. Simply reflashing did not solve the issues which was surprising considering the install reformats almost everything.

Here is how i fixed it...
I reformatted my external sd card in my laptop.
Put fresh copies of the mod 3e recovery and stock rom on the external sd card.
Rebooted to the mod 3e recovery.
Did wipe data / factory reset.
Did wipe cache.
Did wipe media.
Reflashed the stock ROM.


I will have to do more testing before updating any files. I am still not sure how many differences are in the different ROM revisions. Also i dont have the newer bootloader for the newer ROM revision.

If it helps, mine is stock but, deodexed and the default.prop in bootimg edited for full adb with ro.secure=0. My build prop is identical to gimps.

What is the manufacture date? Should be a sticker on the back of the tablet. Should be on the box too, if you still have it.

I'm trying to determine when any hardware changes occured, so I can advise people which tablets the ROMs will work on.

My build date on the box states "manufactured april, 2013".

Nevermind, mine was also made in April. I forgot that the rom revisions were only 10 days apart.

Anyone got one made later than April?

If yours was manufactured in May, I am surprised you don't have the later April 12th build date. Did you flash the ROM from the OP in this thread? Is everything working correctly on your tablet?

Mine is April too.

Sometimes in the OS build you may have two build dates to signify the retailer. Mine was a Walmart purchase.

I think these are probably Wal Mart exclusives. I'm guessing the WM_ in some of the device / model lines stands for Wal Mart.

Glad it worked for you. There isn't currently any way to dump it and reflash it, unless you know how to repackage it into a ROM and write your own update script. You might want to wait until I finish TWRP with a custom EXT4 ROM. Then you should be able to use the backup and restore feature of TWRP.
