No i had the original one that came with the box 2018-05-22 and it ran really well, and then this newest update 2018-10-10 made it messed up...

I am looking for the link to get the older firmware 2018-05-22, it is not dead, its working as we speak running it now, but yesterday it freaked out and done all the things i posted.
I have read in some of the posts here that there was a firmware version 101 then this new one was 102...and the 101 was in August then 102 was October

yes you are right , but until now i still use the 22.5 Rom , until now the best , i need "root" , but

so I wonder if version 1.0.0 is the 05.22.2018 firmware, from what i read the 1.0.1 is the 08.10.2018 and the 1.0.2 is the 10.10.2018...i never had the 1.0.1 version 08.10.2018 and wonder if that created this problem for me.

probably you have another problem,its not by F/W!!!

First of all 22/5 F/W has many issues!
And also other ROMs as well!

There is no any proper/stable version(F/W or ROM etc.,) for this X99 Device!

Hi - I have just ordered an X99. A few question re flashing - on my H96 Max RK3399 I use factory tool 1.6 with restore selected. I push in the reset button and connect USB dual cable from PC to USB 3 port then release the reset. No power cable connected. The box is identified in Factory tool and flash can start. Is this same procedure for X99 or do I have to use the USB-C not the USB 3 or will it work with either. I ask re flasghing as I have read the thread and some people have indicated that they connected power - I have never done that for a rockchip flash. Advice please -thanks.

X99 flashing kinda different then H96(RK3399)!

So pls check back pages carefully as you will find how to do this

I use latest WiFi OTA Update ROM
First check your version when your Device arrived than do it and ask here

X99 with some of issues!(such same all other Devices!)

For my opinion X99 not right Device at the moment!

Ok - thanks. Will have a play with it when it arrives. Just read some comments on flashing in the thread that didn't add up for me. I know what I am doing so flashing shouldn't be an issue if I have to do it . Agree the RK3399 devices could all do with someone like Superceleron banging out some decent custom firmware for them. If we have to wait for the manufactures it will be a long wait That looks a fun box Trebor - its not going to be cheap for sure.

Yesterday I did factory reset,to clean everything!
Installed my necessary Apk/Apps etc., no problem at all

BUT,when I installed KODI then I see that KODI came with 18 v.10 LEIA-3
Installed well without any issue this time!(before,18 is some of issues and unstable!!)

And I got warning;a new version is available! LEIA-5 than I'v already installed 5 and seems
O.K but today when I visited KODI Site then I see a new version is available too>>> 18 RC1

Seems that final 18 KODI will release in soon!
