Did recieved my X99 box few days ago from an chinese **** seller, who told me it should be an unrooted box.

But, happy i was, connected it to TV and started to download some local TV apps and started them.

"cant played Movies becaused the device is Rooted"

So i'll guess, i'm the only one who wanted an unrooted firmware

Does anyone knows where to find unrooted firmware to X99 Rockhip 3399 4gb ram/32gb store?

Did try an "unroot" app from Play Store, and multiple root checker, said it is unrooted now, but still same local app said it is rooted .

Hi ,

would be nice to know what FW Version is installed , maybe you can make a backup of Rom and

upload it for other Users of X99 , simple to do , after this you can flash a unrooted Version of FW

to your X99 Box , to find here too , greetings / gefattern

Hi ,

first , yes it is possible to flash a unrooted Rom , second you can make a backup of your

StockRom with AndroidTool 2.5... or higher , third Tab , but if you are a Newbie with that

it is better to take Time and guide you the right Way , not sure if a Factoryreset i needed ,

think the Tool only makes a copy of the Stockrom , but not sure ,

later today i guide you to Tool & Drivers that are needed for that , but now i first must do

some other things , come back in a few hours & upload what you need , okay ,

I hope i mange to connect and download correct tool. (MTK Droid Root @ Tools 2.5.3) , and install drivers.

Did connect USB C and get in tool :

BUT Kodi is work with "Rooted" ROMs!

Pls keep in mind that if you return to "Unrooted" Stock ROM then KODI will not work!!!

I Do have Kodi 17.6 on an unrooted Venztech box, and works good.
So why isnt Kodi working on unrooted X99?

Only X99 has Kodi issue! no any BOX in the market with Kodi issue so all Boxes OK but X99 "NO"

If you read this thread then you will find all our KODI issues comments in the beginning of the thread comments
then when we go to "Rooted" ROM than KODI start to play!

So pls check your ROM with Kodi 17/18 if works no problem if not work then you should be use Rooted ROM!

1-what is your Local TV Apps;I wonder and why not played?

2-what is your "Player"?? or did you mean your device own stock "Media Player"!

Install "MX Player" which is very best such as Prof.Player! no need other Player,but VLC is O.K too

With X99 I use KODI 18 LEIA RC3 version and better than 17.6;fast and more suitable to install Addons

I installed Kodi 18 from Kodi's homepage myself, and it is really fast.
And i love the quality , it feels like 4K tv, even it is an 9 years old Samsung TV

HBO is lagging 1 minutes, and then it goes smooth.
Netflix dont works. (Going to try older version, but dont want to use more time, if I choose to install new firmware)
Spotify works good.

Did anyone get "Voice Remote" working?

probablay they are "paid" channels so wont play it??

such as Canal Digital+(SPAIN) also paid channels!

Go to;
_First install>> http://get.droidadmin.com and you will get "FILELINKED" App.

_Secondly,when you enter to Filelinked page;as you will see lot of TV/Shows/Aps etc., links so select and install it

TITANIUMTV and TERRARIUMTV you will find in Filelinked App.

_And for Device Media Player;use MX Player(or PRO version,paid version) but you can find Pro version(without paid as well)
on Filelinked Aps.!

and seems that KODI is O.K
