mine "was" almost same with my X99
but similar issue with my N6 too!!

note;my TV(Toshiba-2011 model and almost all Tosh TVs kinda handshake issue with external devices!)
so in this respect this problem comes with Tosh TV and with X99/N6 etc.,

note;I'v tried X99 and N6 with my neighbor's TVs and no any issue(CEC-HDMI)
one of Sony and one of Samsung those TVs 2016 and 2018 models

But its not bother me

Hi not quite sure what your issue is with the supplied remote. If you press power off it put X99 to sleep (not power off). Doesn't affect my TVs and I have 6 - mix of LG and Samsung UHDs as I have a sports bar. Did you pair remote with the USB receiver? Press PG & V- till LED flashes then put USB in Box LEd should go off if paired. Reboot Petrus does power the box off - the remote wont restart it - I dont think thats what its power button is for. Its woulkd appear to be to bring it out of hibernate/sleep.
I personally like this box but I suppose it depends what you want it for. I dont use 4k - only 1080p for movie streaming even though I have UHD TVs .I dont use KODI - never have never will . Seems a cumbersome way to load and get to a stream - dont like it. I only use IPTV Pro and associated purchases URL channel packs for it - works great. It fast and smooth for what I want and a good price. Current firmware 20181024 works for me but I can see it not for everyone but thats the same as many other firmware/boxes amlogic and rockchip

-this is a "common" issue,Brand or model or Chipset etc., doesnt matter!
but I personally just ignore it this HDMI-CEC issue,so its not bother me

-"pairing" I guess no need this action?? or does it?

note;I'v recently bought now AirMouse(for general use with my Boxes)but lot of buttons does not work
or not competible!
Such as Device Power-Off O.K it works but Power-ON not work! or Stand-By does not work
Tried CEC and not work-as usual

-"4K" support(2160p) not good too! or from where you watch it-this is the main question!
So I watch 720/1080 video/movies etc.,(and my panels FHD) from Stream/IPTV or fm my ext.HDD

-"KODI" ""was"" good
now its not good or not a necessary matter!
Apps.(Movie sites) way better and we install it to the device system instead KODI!

So is "KODI a must have"? no,not!

-BUT "IPTV"? "a must have"

Seems KODI is in the dead-end street!

nice to hear that not everbody has this Problem with , TV / PowerOff , think it has to do with the different

EDIDs for the TVs , i am back on 22.5 , it is not important what Rom you use they have all the same Bugs

until now ,

we really need a Dev. , it must be possible to find the Devs of this Roms , Facebook , Twitter , and so on ,

hope we can get in near Future 8.1 maybe Pie , that would be fine ,

my Rom runs nice too , but the Roms still have Bugs & are bad translated , this can be done much better ,

SuperSu can not be updated , but we know it works , SuperSu is old too , much better is Magisk , no support ,

no TWRP , and what about 8.1 or even Pie , the PCBs are well made , but the chinese Companys & Manufactors

must really learn to better support the Customers , not lying & only want the Money ,

Yeah gefatten, your right because I will tell you nova does not work on 8.1 or Pie on any TV Box I have. I have a MX10 PRO and firmware is 8.1 and(rooted) but nova launcher don't work so I went back to 7.2.

i use ApexLauncher works great on X99 , even as SystemLauncher , already often read

about the "Nova" Problem , must be fixed ,

I have updated my RTV Box X99 to firmware 20181024, but I only see the X99 boot logo. I can access the android boot menu. After the factory reset the box does not boot either.
I think he is dead....

Hi ,

no Panic , your Box can be restored ,

think your Box is a little bit different , not a X99 , like ours , you need the right Rom ,

do you still have the StockRom ??? where did you bought it , ask the Seller for help

with StockRom ,

please connect to Pc & Flashtool like always and report what happens , is LoaderMode

still possible ???

I have installed Stockrom 2018323 ( t9_rk3399_d32_ap6255_20180323_r1（R-TV BOX X99）)

but no difference.

I only see the boot logo and the display on the box is saying "load"

first , how did you flashed your Box with PC or SD Way , LoaderMode is the

Mode that is shown in Flashtool when connected correct ,

first you must download latest RockchipDrivers 4.5 / 4.6 and install them ,

then you need AndroidTool 2.38 or similar Versions ,

do you have this Files ???
