      I have tested it.

      If I install cwm-recovery on working device, and try to reboot to recovery with Petrus apk, it will not boot any more (stuck on opening logo).

      If I flash full new image, but only with cwm-recovery instead of stock recovery, on power device boot into cwm-recovery, but with errors :

      E: Invalid command argument
      E: Can't mount /cache/recovery.log
      E: Can't open /cache/recovery.log
      E: Can't mount /cache/recovery/last.log
      E: Can't open /cache/recovery/last.log

      And if I try "Reboot now", device will not boot any more (again stuck on opening logo).

      Any suggestions ?

        Are you using lewy rom too?

          Sorry, I was too fast. It seems device is booting normally, but only after few minutes of starting logo.
          I'm investigating further and will post result here.
          Btw, I'm using stock image DOOBOL "3188.sdk2.0.bt.0723".

            Lewy's ROM comes as a batch image and I don't have time to start dissecting it. But I did try with the stock recovery image from the nexus rom and the results were the same.

            I don't think there are any problems with the flashing itself as I have now reflashed the recovery partition several times back and forth. Since I have also tested with two totally unrelated kernels, I can only assume that there is something odd in the 'misc' partition image of the HFW ROM v1.2.1.

            Can I flash the 'misc.img' from a different ROM or will that cause corruption?


            EDIT: Actually I can't tell the state of the device after trying to reboot to recovery. After I execute the reboot, all USB devices (connected to a USB hub) turn off. The power light stays on in the device but my TV receives no signal.

              MK812A cwm-recovery

              Success ! MK812A cwm-recovery is working.

              I have tested twice backup and restore from internal NAND memory, and it is working OK.

              But when trying to backup to external SD (16GB microSD), there are errors :

              Can't mount backup path
              W:failed to mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p1 (Ivalid argument)
              W:failed to mount /dev/block/mmcblk0 (Invalid argument)
              Cant mount backup path
              I:Set boot command ""
              I:Cant format unknown volume: /emmc

              Is it parhaps because external SD is formatted in NTFS ? Any hint ?

                I instaled on 2 ways
                ROM: Finless Bob 1.6 ALPHA TEST with strauzo kernel

                With Flash tool only checking T428-cwm-recovery.img - OK
                With teminal without PC - OK

                  Yes this cwm can't support ntfs, only fat32. Please if you can format it in fat32.

                  Thanks a lot, I need to speak with lewy about this, maybe something is wrong at time of reboot in his Rom, they are really excellent roms and very fast, and stock recovery is not used, so maybe it is not tested.

                      tried again, same here, after "reboot to recovery" The power light stays on in the device but my TV receives no signal.
