how about the usage of the system.info.tar.gz that i got from the romdump? is it important? i think it is somewhat related to the video card (Mali400) drivers or configutation files....
The user is currently not active, and in hiatus mode. please forgive me. will be back soon as i get my new rockchip device

I never used romdump to make a backup of Rom, so I can't tell you what is inside.

How to navigate in CWM with T-R42 or K-R42??

Hi, I'm new to the Android TV box and have a question about CWM, just purchased a T-R42, boot into stock recovery and how can I navigate up and down in the menue?? tried remote, mouse and none are working. The T-R42 or K-R42 only has one button on the box which is the power button, no vol buttons. Thanks

You cant in most devices, the stock recovery is not a functional recovery in tvsticks.

Do you have stock or CWM recovery? you said in the earlier post that you booted to the "STOCK RECOVERY"

              @leolas
i've read that you are a kernel master, btw how does the kernel in rk3188 works, how can i uncompile/unpack/read the kernel.img,

and about partion sd card from CWM,

i tried it earlier, yesterday to be precise, and it work but ended up with 4gb instead of the usual 6gb, i've also increased the system.img offset to twice the amount of the original, then relocated the start parameter of the next image for it,

but now when i enter and re partition the sd it doesnt work, even to a smaller size, it just stays in there or hangs up, also i can check if the system partition really gets bigger, and why my internal SD hangs up on a re-partition.

About the partition, ive made the swap partition of the sdcard the highest amount when i first formatted it, since i thought it would increase performance but when i researched the net, found out that it will put a big risk to my nand for early retirement.. now i want to turn it off but cant repartition it...sad story...

Thanks but I am only a Linux "advanced user", not kernel master
About decompile the kernel, you need to compile it using the sources, in Kernel development section there is a lot of sources uploaded to github.

Thank you very much and your instruction is clear and working well. I able to install recovery using terminal server without any issue and yes, now I can use my keyboard and mouse to navigate in CWM and just did a nandroid full backup. Everything seems fine. Again thanks.

                          CWM for MK802IV

                          leolas,

Could you customize an CWM image for MK802IV? The rom I used was http://www.freak-tab.de/neomode/MK80...3_20130809.zip from Neomode. Though it said to be compatible with UG007B, I tried your CWM for it (on OP) and only a black screen result. Thank you in advance! BC

Please can you send me a link to your original recovery.img or the whole Rom?
There is 2 different mk802IV, one with 8188eu and the other one has AP6210. I don't know if they have more different parts.

It depends of the device, each cwm img is made manually, usually the xbin folder is full changed, the rc scripts need to be adjusted too, the png are changed too, I can't say a standard procedure because each one is different from the other if there was a standard procedure for sure that I share it. But is like compile drivers for this sticks, rarely is 2 of them with the same process, each one of them are different, the good is that make cwm imgs can be made in 20 or 30 minutes, compile a driver can take 10-12 hours
