Thanks. And does stock multi window work with all apps or only a select few? Basically I'm trying to decide for when my tablet arrives whether to use a stock modded ROM, like this, or try to cook the M9pro kernel into Oma's multi-window ROM for rk3188. I'm not really a flashaholic, I like to find a nice setup and stick with it....

Sorry, no idea what Oma does. You'd be best off experimenting when you get the tablet. I'm using a pretty limited number of apps (owned a tablet less that 2 months) but all of them do work in a smaller window that can be moved around the screen. I have run into several situations that generate something close to:

All the windows come back fine. Before stopping, there may be bleed through from a window below the one with the focus.

I consistently have issues with a Terminal window and a Chrome window when I get the keyboard displayed for the Terminal window. The top of the Keyboard (always normal size) covers the bottom of both the Terminal and Chrome windows. The Terminal window with focus will scroll up so you can see the line where you are typing. The Chrome window though is now only displaying as much as you could see above the Keyboard, and scrolls where the Keyboard (now gone) would have started. Below that point is the rest of that window that is "sort of transparent". As long as I plug the USB hub into the Host port, the USB keyboard prevents the Tablet Keyboard and I avoid this grief. That's not to say that a Terminal window that is 1/4 the screen is READABLE!! It does NOT change text size with a gesture. SO, if you need Chrome (Browser doesn't seem to have the problem for me), that would be an app with an issue. It is the only thing I've really noticed as a problem. Except no multi window on any user except primary.

Rockchip Multi Window program - can it be rmoved

Hey All, I am not liking the multi window rockchip system app with is in my great RileyRom 1.3a!
Can another tell me is this can be uninstalled (root) with hopefully no adverse issues.
On my M9 Pro it keeps on turning itself on automatically by it self. Don't use it and would love to nuke the evil program...hope some can help...

Do think it would be necessary to work this into our kernel for the next release?

I'll get with the TV stick guys and see what we can do. They don't have touch screens to deal with, though.

Does that mean that when you go to Settings and change Multi window from On to Off that after some event or time, it is back to On in Settings? I'm using 1.7B and that doesn't happen to me.

Sorry, that's not an app...it's an embedded feature within the Android system.

There may be a way to disable it somewhere, but I haven't heard of a way.

I leave it off...and it never turn's on for me by itself. Also, if you have it activated, you still don't have to use it.

First off thank you Randy for all your hard work!

This ROM is quite a bit faster than the one that came stock on my tablet. Everything seems to run smoother.

A couple of small issues, though. 1.7a wifi debloated seemed to have some wifi dropping issues that I hadn't experienced before on my tablet. 1.7b seems to have corrected this problem as far as I can tell.

The second issue I have is with the game "NFS Most Wanted". The app will launch after installing but it complains that there is no wifi or 3g connection to download the additional content required to run the game. I haven't seen this happen on any other apps that require content to be downloaded. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hmmm, I just read that some devs over at xda were talking about it and rejected the idea for tablets because of cpu temperature problems...

1.7a issue after severe testing

Hi,
For the last several hours I have been testing my M9Pro with newly flashed 1.7a and my apps.
To my surprise I discovered that the unit reboots by itself automatically (a soul of it's own?) once it has been in standby for a while (display off). This happened a couple of times within the first hours after flashing.
Anyone else with 1.7a experienced this phenomena?
Anyone with an idea what it can be?

I have the same problem after flashing to 1.7a
I assume you just went through a re-flash process with "Pipo_M9_Pro_wifi_RileyROM_1.7a" again.(i.e not to 1.7b)

The old PCB versions were only sold in China.

V1.7 is the best so far.

Wait a minute...there is no old PCB version of the M9 Pro. Do you have a Max M9? That is a different ROM. DONT FLASH THIS ONE on anything but an M9 Pro.

Thanks Riley, yes you are right on the money, my bad..it is an embedded feature. But yes, mine occasional will just turn (multi window mode) on. Hard to just ignore because no matter what, the multi window top window resides and naturally I can turn off the multi window button.
Now again,what is weird is that it is on but the setting shows it is off!

But the current work around I have to live with is: tun it on and them turn it back off!

can you give me a link to the original most update rom of pipo? (if i want to rool back in case someting
goes wrong if ill flash the costume can i do it?)..
does the 1.7 have the windows 8 look a like UI?
