I have had enough of this tab. I have not been using it for weeks, and now that I powered it on, all apps started with force close. MX player reported corrupt storage. I am going to get one last bit of satisfaction by smashing this piece of shit on the floor and then I will go for iPad Air.

While my 1.3a firmware is nice, there are still some problems with freezes and wifi not turning on automatically at boot...so I'm hoping for a fix to those problems. Meantime, Finless and I are exploring some remedies to the problems we can try. That's still in progress, though. I'll tell everyone later what we've come up with.

Did you mean 1.8a?

The tablet is now working an absolute treat for me, this ROM has made everything perfect again (apart from losing Deep Sleep for my 3g functionality, but that will come with time I guess )

My WiFi starts perfectly at startup, and I have not experienced a single freeze since installing 1.8a.

While you are here, I'd like to get your opinion on what the 'best' ROM/Kernel combo for the M6 would be?

I've read through almost all your 1.1 - 1.8 threads but it's always hard to follow when I'm reading old threads. I've read about the mixed 1.5/1.6 ROM/Kernel (or Kernel/ROM?) but I am super happy with this 1.8a version too.

Also, are the tweaked Kernel's by balrog still usable, or have they been implemented in to this ROM?

I'm not completely sure, first hand...because I don't have an M6 tablet to test.

Maybe some other users can chime in on the best combination for the moment.

How about the tweaked Voltages in the Kernel? Are they implemented in your downloads?

I've decided not to try keeping up with the kernels to include in my releases. Mainly because whenever I release a new ROM, nobody has touched the newest kernel unless they were able to extract it from the firmware before I do. So...mostly the kernel guys rely on me to give them kernels to patch.

Usually the OC kernels come a bit later after a ROM release.

I've broke my device outer shell glass (the front glass lying on top of the lcd) So I'd really love to buy your if possible only the plastic housing including the glass. If you're willing to part your M6 kindly let me know

Just want to jump in and say that after working quite well for a while, I tried installing some games through the Humble Bundle app and they didn't work - they would just FC. I tried to reboot the tablet and it would not load past the RileyRom start splash (before the boot splash screen). Rather than reflash 1.8a I'll give 1.9 a shot.

Just want to jump in and say that after working quite well for a while, I tried installing some games through the Humble Bundle app and they didn't work - they would just FC. I tried to reboot the tablet and it would not load past the RileyRom start splash (before the boot splash screen). Rather than reflash 1.8a I'll give 1.9 a shot.

Same think happened to me. I've gone back to stock. The differences are minimal really. In my eyes its not worth the hassel of flashing this and that.

With that in mind got the fix. Waited overnight to power DOWN the battery. Meanwhile I installed the correct drivers manually so that when the device was powered up it would show as rockusb in device manager and not Android as what was happening before. I had the pipo flash tool ready with official firmware ready. Plugged in power on tablet, usb connected to pc. Pressed volume + and power and device manager picked up rockusb, flash tool showed device was connected and I hit upgrade and bingo.

Now which riley Rom is deemed to be the most stable?

Great !, Knew you would eventually get it going ), i would def suggest to install CWM recovery, its really easy, just open the Rom flash took 1.37 and unclick everything apart from recovery, and replace the stock with CWM ) As for the best rom , for me the new 1.9 rom combined with the overclocked kernel is without doubt the best combo I have ever usedfor the M6, it really has made it a top tablet now ). plays games great, fast desktop performance, installs from the market really quick ! bascially it just feels like its eliminated some of the lag issues that were preventing the M6 being an excellent retina tablet.

I had exactly the same problem with my Pipo m6, was the same with any rom I put on it though. If you leave it long enough it will go up, I think what is happening is it gets to 100%,And only then will the battery indicator start, You'll notice it goes up very quickly, As it is actually already at 100% so the indicator increases as quickly as it can. You just have to leave it, what helped me is downloading an app that alerts you when the battery is fully charged.

But mine isn't even showing that its charging, when I connect the charger it doesn't show me the lighting bolt mark in the battery . yours did that too ?
