hey Lewy.

I would like to control my kr42 with my android phone. which client/server works?

This firmware is all about XBMC, all aditions to the firmware have lower prioryty
If someone want to help please test how the firmware is working for you,
share your findings and ideas, it dousnt metter its good or bad,
as its still help

new folder on root of sdcard:
-justXBMC
*plugin
*update (update folder will be used for some minor updates to the firmware)
-ouya mode will be now a plugin and will be not provided with the firmware
-updated play store
-gemail app

-pached libmedia.so for DTS
-new graphics
-system bar hiden
-rooted,boot stright to xbmc
-better mappings for xbox wirless gamepad (supports more games)
-init.d support
-gameloft fix
-new power off buackground and icons
-nfs support with automount on startap scripts (check /system/etc/init.d folder)
-build.prop tweaks
-cwm recovery
-real 1080p kernel (for compatybility with some tv res is downscaled to 720, can be changed in settings)
-all apps deleted (only settings, es explorer, browser, download provider andcontacts are left)
-android settings and apps can be accesed by going to programs>android apps from within xbmc
-changed bootanimation to justXBMC
-latest ouya xbmc with HW moded by lewy20041:

• [*=left]advancedsettings.xml build into apk
  [*=left]playercorefactory.xml build into apk

• [*=left]changed icons and splash screen to stock xbmc insted xbmc on ouya
  [*=left]superrepo repository
  [*=left]test skins repository
  [*=left]deleted touched skin

OUYA mode:
-OUYA Bootanimation
-OUYA Keyboard
-OUYA Launcher with working OUYA Market (OUYA Custom Launcher is made by InvaderGames from OUYA forums so all credits go to him for this )

many ouya games are working nice with xbox360 controler.
you will be abble to switch betwen OUYA mode and justXBMC by going to settings>advanced>swich mode

(This mode is only for people with xbox controler, to provide plug&play gameing experience, if you dont have it do not swich modes)

ouya mode dont harm justXBMC its just something like plugin:"

i will provide you with stock app folder so anyone will be able to add any funcionality he/she wants by placing needed app into /system/app folder and changing permisions to
"644" "rw- r-- r--"
more changes will folow.


what dosnt work:
for now i have problem with device waking up from sleep, but power off and reboot are working good.

First boot will be longer than usual as many files must be seted up
so just go get some cofe and wait untill xbmc will start
all boot ups after that will take much lower time but its still wont be
super fast, its like this on purpose to make sure that sdcard
is mounted and system is fully functional.

Screen Mirroring

Lewy , I tried screen mirroring on just xbmc fw it is not working. But HFW can it. Did you try on just xbmc fw ? Any one tried before ?

any ideas on the cifs network levvy ?

or do i need to load modules, i used to load cifs module and another one on other devices to make it work.

also updated the busybox to see if it worked, but it didnt.

i cant use NFS because of the NAS is configged with 2 seperate disks and NFS cant set only 1 disk a time in the config of the NAS

you can mount shares using cifs as its in the kernel so there is no need to load any modules.
i provided even script to do so in etc/init.d folder so just edit it to mach your share and set permisions to 755
if you dont know how to do it you can always use cifs manager from playstore.

further the thing runs damn smooth with this rom, except the Ethernet but wifi also works nice

Lewy this part of the changelog i do not understand:"-ouya mode will be now a plugin and will be not provided with the firmware." Well if it is not included with the firmware then where do i find it please mate? As i'd rather go with a full working just xbmc release and then add this plugin to it somehow,how that is done i would appreciate some eplination of so i can have a shot at using an alternative to 1.1.1 fw which i can't get the error message to go away on mate.

do i flash just the kernel or with a boot aswell?

normaly you only have to flash the kernel and nothing more...

i flash 2.1 revision wasser lastest kernel to this rom ..but it wont work
is there a kernel for this rom for the 2.1 revision device so the lan could work

Screen Mirroring Problem.

Any one tried screen mirroring on this FW. I can't get an answer from Lewy . Any one knows someting about this?

I'm also not working kernel 111113 for this rom and 2.0.4 too, i am using kernel from wasser 1.2 rom work perfectly

the (sleep) in wasser 1.2 rom work?

because some roms disable wifi at the same time after sleep and need to reboot
