I'm actually getting an odd problem with justXBMC v3 and v4 that doesn't appear to occur with v1 or v2 (I've downgraded to v2 currently and don't seem to have the issue).

The issue is that both HD and SD content streamed from my NAS over SMB fail to start - in fact, XBMC hangs entirely and you need to exit out of the Android app and restart it to get going again. It appears to have something to do with the version of libstagefright on v3 and v4 - if I disable libstagefright (first in the advancedsettings.xml file, and then in the GUI), those videos work again. It's a very odd issue.

I'll dig up debug logs if anyone's interested, but I thought I'd simply surface the problem first. I don't mind waiting for XBMC Gotham to come out and solve this for me via MediaCodec otherwise. So - anyone else run into this issue?

Hey, I'm running finles 1.7 with xbmc v4 and also using smb for my movies in xbmc. I have not seen your issue on my side though. Everything works very smooth even the big videos which didn't worked in the past.

DLNA/UPNP Share Fixed MX Player Error Message (Can't Play This Video)

I have the same issue on NFS, SMB and local files. I created an UpNp (dlna) share in XBMC which fixed the ability to play using MX player with justXBMC. MX player can only handle the http protocol for network streams (which is the case using dlna in xbmc.) Why local files on internal memory don't play I don't know.

You are correct, the MX Player can only handle the http protocol for network streams, which works like a charm with "lewy's" newly released "JustXBMCV4" ... If you try to stream movies via your local network using a NFS/SMB path, you will get the error message (Can't Play This Video) ... I'm using the free Serviio DLNA/UPNP Server, sweet with "JustXBMCV4" ... DTS, AC3 works smooth as silk ....!

Is there any version of JustXBMC V3-4 that is turned into a launcher? I want to setup a Minix X7 for my parents and the Android interface might be a bit much for them to navigate through.

I have tried this v4 on my minix running Finless 1.7.. Everything is perfect except for very slow internet buffering. I don't have this problem in any other xbmc nightly installed but only this justxbmc has it.
I tried changing the buffer read ahead values and even tried to keep it 0 to use hddisk for buffering... Nothing seems to work same video on any other xbmc plays fine

I have a similar issue. Content is streamed over SMB to my Neo X7 and with justXBMC firmaware and apk v3 some SD videos (haven't try with HD) just shows about 1 second video and sound stops after 3 more seconds, in fact time counter keeps counting elapsed time, XBMC keeps working and I'm able to stop video. It's a little better with v4 - sound works fine, but video shutters badly. v1 and v2 both works fine.

One more problem I came across today...... While I tried to install my favourite addons from super repo.. I am not seeing quite a few of the addons in the get more addons view.. For example 1 channel, mash up, icefilms etc.. I have the superrepo all zip file added but still not showing all addons to select... Can anyone confirm this issue again?

Press C or left click in super repo repository, and after you press update or refresh. wait for 2 minutes and then try again only super repo. you should see all the addons!

Thank you for the solution..it worked..now only the buffer problem remains..I tried editing the advanced settings xml file making the buffer 0 to use hard disk but that screws something fully...videos stop and pay like fast forward mode and finally the videos auto stop and return to the links screen!! Definately something wrong
